I have tried to get in contact with this Branch for over 3 weeks and this is not an exaggeration!!!!! You can’t talk with anyone!!!!!!!!! I have called and been on hold for over 40 min. With NO answer and you can’t leave a message!!!! This is what our Tax dollars are paying for!!!!!!!! I have to get in touch with someone regarding something crucial and I can’t make it down there, so what do you do?????????????

worst experience ever. Tried paying online and could not find my information on their website. I call and get put on hold for an hour and I’m lucky someone even picked up. The lady I spoke to on the phone instructs me to go to the courthouse and turn in my ticket and pay the fine since she can’t find my information in the system either. I go to the courthouse, wait in line, just to get to the front for them to tell me that due to covid, there has been a backlog. Apparently nothing they or myself can do until my ticket gets entered into the system. Once it finally gets entered into the system, I mail in my ticket and payment. A couple weeks later, I get a letter saying I’m now past due and I owe 15x the original amount. I drive 30 minutes to the courthouse with the hopes of getting this settled to find “Temporarily closed” signs plastered across the doors. Really? They couldn’t have posted this information online anywhere?? What a headache.

The Santa Clara County Court house is an absolute joke. It’s been three years since the pandemic & they’re still understaffed & hours are cut short. I live in a different county & trying to file a response has been impossible. They literally didn’t want to help answer any questions & had me running back & forth. They didn’t let me file my declaration & put it in a separate case on a different court date than the one I needed. Staff was rude & you can just tell they don’t want to be there. Our tax payer dollars are going to waste.

It's literally, and I genuinely mean that, impossible to get ahold of them via the main line. It's a giant loop of automated messages and when I do finally "get transferred" to the clerks desk it gives another automated line saying to contact the office if you have not received a mail notice (which is the reason I am calling) but then it just loops back around to the first prompt. I've tried every single prompt now, and over an hour of time wasted going through each one. There's a prompt that asks to leave your phone, email, and name, however, the mailbox is full and then it just resets the loop again. It's LITERALLY not possible to get ahold of them. I thought getting the ticket was supposed to be the punishment, not dealing with the stress of just trying to get in contact with a simple receptionist because you have not received anything. Imagine if hotels did this. Imagine if you can only modify/get information regarding your reservation ONLY once it's time to actually check-in and you have to be there in-person or else you get charged anyways. This is outrageous.

Hi, I lost receipt traffic ticket. I paid on 10/11/2018. I need receipt. How i can get it? Please help me. Thanks you very much.
Any luck?
Not sure of the question. Each county is different. Santa Clara County has an award winning website. Check out their website it has information on the hours open to the public.
There they can give you a phone number so they can give you another court.
Yup. They got me on this too. Smh
Start payment plans on eligible cases
Go to the clerk to make it at the court house and be prepared to wait 2 hours and get bad service
You have to go down in person that's the best way
Monday-Thursday 8:30am-1:30pm Friday 8:30-12pm
Best to go in person and see the court clerk, M-F 8:30 - 1:30pm.
Yes you will receive it in the mail
Hi, I got the same; it took a month or so for the paper to come in the mail. However, I sent in the paper with my proof of insurance and the check for $25 and it's been about a month and I have no evidence that it was received so I am planning to head in to the court house to show proof there - this is what is required for this type of fixit vs. just showing an officer per what I read on the back in the really small print... (I have about 2 weeks left). Good luck.
You have to go into the office during the morning time before 1 p.m. and see the county clerk and they should make you a court date depending on what your offences were if it's traffic court or to pay a ticket you should be able to pay your tickets there unless they're in collections in which case they'll give you your case file number and a phone number for you to call
You have to go to the main courthouse in san jose by the jail. You can pick up a form from the clerks office there.
You can mail it in. the info is on the ticket
Still observing sip.
Not
Its $25 per correctable violation. Mail or bring your ticket into the courthouse to clear it, only if you know it is in the court's system.
No. You are paying a court fee to have your case heard. Judge charges for his time and fattens his slush fund. If you win which you will not, then your case is dismissed. But please expecr to be ignored if you do not have a lawyer and end up paying for wasting the court's time.
Google search Santa Clara courthouse dept 88.
Consult w a lawyer to do this. Call friend to see who they've worked with in the past and felt did a good job. If no friends to talk to, contact the Santa Clara Bar Association. They'll have a short consultation w a lawyer who knows the law in that area. They'll charge you for the consultation. But they'll give you a read of your facts and if you might have a case. All cases and facts are different. Remember to win any case you have to convince a jury of twelve that what they did was a violation of the law. But also know that it's an impassioned process without emotions. Just because it's unfair or you feel slighted doesn't mean you win the lawsuit. And to pursue a legal case means you have to back up your claims w your own money because lawyers don't work for free. Good luck.
You would have to talk to the court clerk. They might tell you to get a judge to sign off. Depending how important it is, it's possible but time consuming
I received a ticket but never any other paperwork to tell me if I go to court and when, what time, or were to go my date on the bottom of the ticket says August 17 tomorrow what do I do?
You should have received a letter in the mail. (Usually takes up to 3 weeks) The letter will explain if you would like to pay the ticket, if it was a moving violation it will let you know if your eligible for traffic school and lastly if you would like to contest the ticket in court.
I would call the traffic court to see what your options are.
Yes . But you need to bring cash or cc. If you don't pay it that date, there are fines
There are self help guides on the web and library. Check out NOLO Press for a very good guide.
Get your application at the county office
Wish I could answer your question Christian. We are separate from the Clerk's. We are just There for Security, we are County Employees And they are State Employees. The person you want to talk to is a lady named Georgea Kow. She is in charge of All Of the Court Houses In the County. I'm sorry I don't have a number For you, but I am on Vacation this week. If you would like to contact me next week When I am back at work, I can give you Her Direct number. Signed, Don G Dardanelli.
