This place refused to accept my Driver's License because it was out of state; they said they do not accept any out of state licenses which means no alcohol for anyone who does not live in New Jersey. Wow. Not only that but we arrived at 9:20 PM and the lady who "helped" us informed us that the kitchen would close at 10:00 PM. She pressured us to place our order before the kitchen closed five different times within five minutes then informed us about the out of state rule. I found this to be extremely offensive and discriminatory. Why go to a place like this? If you're from out of state then this place does want you there.

It was my first time there, I stopped and had a drink with a friend of mine. Very nice place, very friendly service. Will definitely go back and try to food.

We were at Twin Elephant Brewery across the street having some beers and we were looking for a place to order food from and decided on River Grille. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is because they said we could pick it up in 20 minutes and after arriving there at the 20 min mark, we asked the bartender if our food was ready and he said no and asked if we wanted a drink while we waited. Apparently the food showed up and was sitting in a bag off to the side while we were waiting and no one told us until 15 minutes after the fact so by the time we brought the food back, it was a bit cold. We didn't get to have our drinks at the bar either. We understand they were busy, because it happens. We ate the food anyway. It was very good and had no other problems.

Small neighborhood bar and grill. Food was good. Great band "Millies Closet" was packed into small performing area. Very responsive crowd. Acoustics were rough, just wish there was more room. Fun place.
