Don’t come here if you’re looking for kindness and quality service. The shop owner was terribly rude and uninviting. She gave me such an attitude and rant when I asked to see what her sage at the front looked like. So much for being curious! There was also a gate at the front door that was placed to prevent me and my group from entering into the shop, and after we rang the bell, she left us to wait for minutes before “answering”. Can’t imagine what she gets out of being such a nasty person.

I was walking by and thought the shop looked interesting. The doors were WIDE OPEN and I politely asked what looked like the owner if the store was still open. She rudely and condescendingly said "absolutely not" and walked off. Wow. At first I thought she was just joking and being extremely sarcastic. Nope. She's just straight up mean.

I found the store a place I wish to go back to. I would really enjoy having the time & chance to look about more. There are so many wonderful things available and the lady that helped me was far from rude or abrasive. I had been looking for a pentagram, (a symbol of protection). I had been to a couple of other shops previously, when I asked about a pentagram, they told me very rudely, they had nothing of the devil in their shop. I suggested they get educated on the subject and left . Then I found Esoterica. I left with a pendant and a set of cards and a card with a shamrock stamped on the back. - All Reviews are like star ratings and reviews on Amazon - trust them at your own risk. Everyone has a different view. Give Esoterica a chance if you are interested and judge for yourself. I am very sure that it will be a good experience.

Is the owner a little “abrasive” ? Sure. I would really just say she has a strong personality and doesn’t take BS. HOWEVER. If you are in New Orleans. Going out. Flying on planes. Eating at restaurants. Drinking on bourbon st. Let’s be real. A mask isn’t going to protect you. If you are that concerned. Stay home. I also think, based on other reviews, that this store is really for serious followers and practitioners of the occult. If you are just browsing… might not be the place for you. That being said - The store was quirky and so was the owner - in a good way, I thought. If you don’t think you would like the place based on the other reviews - I would say stay away. You get exactly what is described. I thought it was great.
