Personal friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, really care about animals. Completes paperwork quickly, professional. Cares about adopters too. I adopted the cutest, small dog. I'd been looking for him for awhile. The application was easy, simple, necessary information. Very happy working with this SPCA. I highly recommend this animal, all animal rescue.

Terrible experience. We just lost our family dog and wanted to look to adopt. We drove out of our way to Daville SPCA only to find out that we have to schedule appointments for each separate dog (prior to going). We were the only ones there on a Saturday. Upon our arrival, the staff in the office sat and stared at us... not saying a word. I finally asked if we could see an animal and she told us it was by appointment only. I was highly confused as to why she said absolutely nothing to us while we waited. I feel horrible for the animals in this place. What happened to the days when you could see the animals & adopt one.

Adopted my first fur baby 11 years ago and had a great experience. Sassy was the best dog ever. Sadly she crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday. She will be missed

My dog of 17 years passed away and my sister brought me to Danville SPCA to adopt a new fur baby and the process was great and I was able to give a beautiful sweet dog a new loving home. If you are looking for a new pet, why not adopt your new family member from the SPCA !We are so very sorry for your loss, but grateful that we can help add a new furry family member. Thank you for your kind words and feedback.
No. We just adopted one she was like 95 in total but she was fixed all vaccinated rabies shot and micro chipped. The people are so nice and they answered all our questions
I have a cat with terrible knots all over him. I am elderly and in a wheelchair and cannot groom him because he won't let me. Local vets either won't do it, or want $250 which I don't have. I have a limited income on disability. Where can I go?

Head to our website, pspca.org to check out all of our adoptable pups
Prices are cheaper for dogs versus puppies. All are spayed or neutered before leaving if they aren't already. All have their shots and are vet checked.
I have a mostly black, long hair, adult, neutered male cat. He is very affectionate and friendly with humans and other cats. He came to me as a stray. He needs a home.

If you do not accept aggressive animals do you have any other suggestions?

There are quite a few dog trainers in our area capable of assisting with training for dogs showing aggression, veterinarians are also able to sometime help with behavior problems using medications. If you are set on rehoming, private rehoming from your home into another is least stressful for the dog, or foster based rescues that house the dog in homes or most often breed specific rescues are best prepared for breed specific problems.
Low cost vaccines: yes
Low cost spay and neuter: should start this fall (2018) but not yet
General vet services such as bloodwork, radiographs, ear cleanings, etc: Not at this time
