This is a horrible place. My father was there for two weeks. He was not being fed. I asked them to feed him because he was hungry. They refused and said lunch was already over. Disgusting dirty place. I wish I knew this. Salem Hospital placed him here. I would never recommend such an awful place for anyone. My father was so thin and weak and wasn’t being taken care of. He passed away three days later after leaving this horrible place.

With 2 residents escaping for the 2nd time this week and the tying up ambulance services for ridiculous reasons, and staff disrespectful and resentful, not to mention the theivary, is the State waiting for more people to die, all lives matter and by not stepping in the State is saying that residents safety is not THEIR PRIORITY. I'm staying there and get my belongings misplaced and I need to buy a security camera so my belongings don't get misplaced when I'm sleeping or off the premises at an appointment. I've been told I have to stay on this floor they have me or I will get the police calked and I will be discharged, even though MassHealth gave me a 30 day extension. Maybe the director of social services and director of nursing can find a place for someone with a spinal cord injury, and stop trying tondn discharge him while at the hospital, smh, I hope other people's families spread the word, go to Vero ànd end up a zero especially if you have no immediate family members or friends come and check on you periodically, you if elderly will be found unresponsive. Now I'm on a floor with a CNA that I believe stole from me before but my safety is their priority. Well good luck and I wish you the best. The new company that took over has implemented some actions that makes it feel more like prison when it should have feeling of comfort and enjoyment, we have to endure this obnoxiously loud security system they put in, which I don't understand if you've hired security people I've seen to be just getting a paycheck at our expense , we can't go out in the patio area until specific times, now didn't I say that they hired security people, why keep use locked in a place many call " home "?

Whoever rated this place a 5 star is clearly blindsided by the disgrace of this health center. This place is the worst and I suggest you get your family members out of there as soon as possible. I had to get my father out of there. Some lady who was working was trying to stop me from bringing him home, almost pushing me out of the way. I managed to do everything in my power to stay near him and be with him as well. He was in the worst condition I’ve seen him in my entire life. I literally did not recognize him and was scared of how fragile he was. Only weighing 110 pounds and his normal weight is 180. He did not eat or sleep much during his stay there and was very depressed. I can’t believe this place is still up. Please get your family member out of there and if they don’t let you bring your family member home or to another facility, call the police and file a report.

If I could put less I would!! My Uncle was transferred there from Spaulding Hospital in Cambridge two weeks ago. Shame on my Uncle’s case manager at Spaulding! I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t send a loved one there. My Uncle suffered a massive stroke in April, leaving his mind totally intact, but with trach and feeding tube. His only means of communication is by using a letter board. Most horrible place for any human being to be. It should be shut down and staff’s licensing/certification should be pulled. I read reviews about physical abuse of patients and unfortunately my Uncle suffered some abuse in the two weeks that he was there. I had a gut feeling that if I did not find an alternative placement he would die. I took a photo of the scratch on his finger that a nurses aid gave him while being rough and holding him down. If I can figure out how to share the photo on here I will. Please, if you have a loved one here, take them out as soon as possible!
