Not much shade at this pool was an okay place to go to cool off

I’ve been coming here since 2013. I’ve made lots of acquaintances here, and caught up with old friends as well! Since Covid, it changed that, and I’ve came back for the first time in two years. We always have a good time cooling off and getting sun. Expect to get splashed, there are a lot of kids that frequent here, especially camps. They do hourly pool checks, which I do find necessary. In that time we take a break and have a snack or go to the bathroom. There’s plenty of space to change. It would be nice if there was effort to keep up cleaning and maintenance, I do love the design and structure, but time has it wearing. Management is always cautious yet friendly.

A bit of a run down pool with a poor changing area, but it’s fun enough for the kids and has a separate splash pad. It is located on the Charles River path which makes it convenient to ride a bicycle there, although there is very little parking for cars.

Today a girl was waiting to use the pool and during that time she had to use the bathroom but the manager (seemed very aggressive and rude) didn’t let her and she seemed to have pooped her pants. Additionally, a couple days ago, a family wanted to use the pool but the “manager” wouldn’t let them in for hours. An injured girl (broken ankle with crutches) was with the family and she had to take a break from waiting and wanted to use the bathroom but he rudely closed the door in her face and simply said “I don’t have time.” Many bystanders viewed that the manager was yelling at the kids in the family and making them cry. While at the same time he was politely letting other people in and acting completely different and respectful towards them. I don’t know what is going on with that manager but he shouldn’t push away a family who was trying to have a nice family day at the pool. He seemed very disrespectful and unfair and that shouldn’t be the role of a manager. Please advice to fire him because the lifeguards seem very nice and respectful. The only problem now, is him.
