I just bought my prelude and took it here and it failed. He said I should fix the exhaust leak, so I went out and did that. Came back and still failed every time. He said there was nothing to be done after I drove from Seattle. I went to Placer Smog and it passed the first time and only took 15 minutes, vs spending multiple hours at this shop. I would not recommend this place for older vehicles in the slightest. Very disappointed with my experience.

Only place we go to take our cars for a smog check. Mitch is top notch. We recommend all of our friends and family to take their vehicles to alternative auto as well.

Good guy, great work and awesome prices you can't lose. He was able to get my smog done in just a few minutes. No long wait or extra fees, thank you for that Mitch! I was so impressed that I talked my folks into taking their pickup to him for it's smog certificate too. I have a few vehicles that I am planning to bring to this shop. I much prefer the friendly atmosphere and customer service that comes from an owner operated business to a shop that makes you wait for hours to do a simple task.
