Great place for a really long walk with the dog around the lake, or for a short walk going left to the bridge or right down to the park bench on the water.

I love this park but with the families who decide to swim and do laundry and keep the fish they catch is awful .like I've seen trash left on tables the nasty wet clothes in bushes. Just disrespectful people

Don’t get me wrong, this is a nicely sized dcr park with potential, but the amount of trash I found was a bit appalling. Im from wareham and never see this much trash in the parks nearby. Myles Standish is always clean. I used to live near the Freetown forest too and never saw anything this bad.

Nice park to visit all year around. There's an extensive trail system surrounding the large lake. Picnic tables with large grass areas for gatherings. There's also a pretty cool dam with a waterfall that turns into a river. Swimming-hiking-fishing

Sure is extra parking
I don't know to be honest
Hop in no one's looking
I guess that is a good question. Have you ever did one of those ancestry test?
It's best to buy an annual DCR parking pass online through Reserve America but there is an office as you first drive in if you'd like to speak to someone in person.
You can search for Ames Nowell State Park Parking Area to find areas available to park
Yes to fish and kayak and canoe. Unknown in the stocking or fish.
No
No fee it's free
You can grill there but the park closes at sunset
I've never had a parking fee charged, and I just checked the .gov site; it mentions no parking fee. Unless they've changed it extremely recently parking is free
I see two guys over there once in a while but shouldn't see why not?? I run the dogs 3 or 4 days a week over there great spot
I don't see why not... It is a public park. It would have some nice scenery as a natural back drop for pictures.
