I would have given "0" stars but you can't do that. I went today as a "recycling only" trip, something I do a few times a year as I accumulate recyclables. I did my recycling and in the past, since what I dropped off there was no charge for, I could exit through a back gate and depart quickly. Not today. The gate never opened and I was forced to go back around through the scales. Maybe this on another day might have been fine but I sat in line longer to get out than it took me to drive from West Eugene to the dump!! And this was just so I could tell the girl at the scale I only recycled. I guess these people at the transfer station want to make things as difficult as possible. One thing is for sure - I will never visit this incompetently run place again. From here on out EVERYTHING goes into the trash and I'll let the landfill deal with the stuff I used to recycle or dispose of properly - oils, paints, and other restricted items - it will ALL go into the trash.
