Highly recommended if you cycle along Pontomac River and plan to spend the night in Hancock. The owner is super friendly and lets you take your bike into your room. Everything was clean. The air condition worked well. Although the fridge I had to unplug because it stopped me from falling asleep. Make sure to buy some breakfast the day before, unless you get energized by only eating sweets and having a coffee. All in all highly recommended and would definitely go there again. The price for a standard room us more than fair.

Stayed last night randomly. For the first time. I looked online at reviews this morning and they’re mostly bad! This is not a bad stay at all. Desk people are super nice. And they’ve got BREAKFAST! No 5 star buffet but they’ve got good name brand pastries and coffee. That’s good enough for me. Lived in Hancock for 12 years but never stayed here. YES it’s a tiny town with pretty much no food options. And even less now because a few more restaurants have closed :( Pizza Hut is the closest restaurant. Sheetz is 2nd closest. The big town park is within walking distance as well!

Okay let's be honest... It's what you should you expect from an old Super 8 in a very small town. The place is old and a little out of date. The staff are friendly and at least there isn't a lot of people hanging around for no apparent reasons. Pretty quiet and slow. That's not a bad thing. Staff are friendly and seem to mind their business. It was as clean as it could be... Back to it just being older. If this is what you can afford I don't think you will mind. Olny someone that got stuck at this place and is expecting The Ritz would likely be really dissatisfied with this Super 8. You should already know before you book what to expect.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you were desperate. The room we stayed in was a bit run down. The wallpaper was pealing off, there was a soft spot in the floor that made me feel like if not careful my foot could go through, the heater/ac was busted in the vent area (thankfully it still worked), stain on the bed blanket, holes in the curtain….I’ll be nice and not say anymore.
