We lived at Royal Crest for 5 years and while living there I would definitely leave a 3-4 star review as the maintenance team is great. However the termination of my lease they were petty and charged me so they could replace the toilet seat like really? I called as they double charged me pet rent as well. They removed the double charge on the pet rent but refused to remove the charge for the toilet seat saying it was standard practice... Really how would that not be Normal wear and tear.... Petty IMHO....

Take a look at all the empty apartments in all the bldgs here. Tenants are leaving because of the extremely high $400.00 rent increase and extremely high monthly fees of about $150.00 a month on top of your monthly rent. Because existing tenants got so fed up with these rent increases they are leaving. Couple downstairs from me had their rent increased to $2700.00! When they moved in last year their rent was $1850.00. PRICE GOUGING all their existing tenants and it's ethically WRONG. Not renewing my lease if they wanna hit me with a $400.00 increase. The Pools are filled with outsiders that don't live here either. Every year they pull up in car loads and use the pools and grills? Nothing has been done about this problem after tenants have complained several times. Been here 6 years. Poor Management and Greed. Tenants are fed up!

This place is not worth its money. The fire alarms are constantly going off, I have gnats even though I keep my place clean, there are mice in the walls, and the shower water will turn brown and cold within 5 minutes. There are multiple fees that play into the monthly cost, including a $51 convenience fee that I was not warned about when signing a lease. You have to pay to park at a place you live at and you’re not even guaranteed a spot near your building. My bedroom closet has a door that does not fit properly and is always getting stuck. The rent is also ridiculous. Rent went up another $250 so now I’m paying over $2000 for a tiny one bedroom. The only reason I give 2 stars is because the maintenance crew is incredibly nice and helpful. If it wasn’t for them, I would give this place 1 star.

First I'd like to talk about the "amenities". Currently I am in the fitness center where literally half (3 out of the 6) treadmills don't work. There is a plug in the MIDDLE of the floor. A big, easy to trip over plug. To which last week my daughter did trip over. It sparked and smoked and scared her. Why you would put a big plug in the middle of the floor where people are walking all aroumd, focused on their workouts (in the zone) is beyond me. Also there's a couple TVs which would be nice if they worked. No remote or way to turn them on. The laundry system is a joke. If the machine eats your money you contact the company. Not Royal crest. I've been waiting on my $10 from them for a month and a half. Was told 10 days. Hmm. Told the office and they said to call them again. "They're usually pretty good" I was told. Well clearly not. And you're not helpful either. Also there is two washers and three dryers for two buildings. Each building has 12 apartments. That's 24 families sharing two washers. WHAT A JOKE. And then there's the laughable rent increase to their already outrageous prices. Our ONE bedroom is now going to be $2,200 a month. Not to mention we don't have a lease so we're going to be paying an additional $300 on top of that for not having one. They were nice enough to give us a 67 day notice that in 60 days our rent would increase. Except we had to provide a 60 day notice if we were going to stay or not. So basically find a place in 7 days if we wanted to move. I'm wondering why we pay an extra $300 a month for not being locked into a lease only to still HAVE TO give them a 60 day notice. If we don't they will charge us for the 60 days. Lastly, their whole "we're going up because of market value" thing is B.S. They have always been expensive. Yes, I know I know....You're "upfront with all your extra charges". Well, when you're in a bind and have nowhere else to go you have no choice and accept. Still doesn't make it right. We're in the back building. Literally the last building on the property. Away from everything. Do the buildings right next to everything pay the same as we do? Or more? I'm curious. Right next to the office, laundry card loader, fitness center, multiple pools? If you want to talk about market value then things like that should be factored in. I have to drive to all that stuff. No convience what's so ever.

You are absolutely right it's an unwelcoming place. I free sorry for you but hope you can get out of there as soon as your lease is up. And be sure to give notice per their 'rules'.
The apartments are nice; I have seen no rodents, however if you live on the first floor after a rain storm or just wet weather you get the rain bug (mini pads or small rain bugs
No cameras anywhere!!! Lots of cars have been broken into!!!
Utilities are not included.
