How does the rental place only rent to those from the state of Rhode Island so if people from out of state come to Rhode Island and they want to rent a car they cannot rent a car because they're from out of state makes no sense to me

I just got off the phone with one of your employees (Michelle). I called asking about the security deposit I had yet to receive from my recent rental. She just said: "This is the cash department, I can only take your call if you paid cash" And she hung up. I called again, and told her I was the same guy, saying: "Hi, it'd me again, I was just about to ask you if you could transfer me to the correct department before you hung up" She again repeats the same thing she told me before, to which I replied: "Well, could you please provide me with the right department's phone number, the whole she kept repeating the same thing, saying I called the wrong department. She spoke to me in a very condescending tone and was very rude and disrespectful. Her customer service skills are not even close to average and she sounded impatient and like she didn't even like to work there. All I needed was s simple answer and some help, maybe just pointing me in the right direction, not rude replies and sass. In the future, I'll definitely will not consider renting with this company again, just to not run into this person and have to deal with such a repugnant woman. I'm sure other staff members are polite, but not this one, not Michelle.

Unlike some of the reviews I've seen for Richmond Motors my rental experience couldn't have been better. I rented through a third party ride share site and over a three week period I saved 400$ off renting at the airport. I also have an out of state DL. The car was clean, ran well and got me through the blizzards of January. The staff was courteous, efficient and professional. I accidentally left some valuables in the car and Junior kept it safe until my return 5 weeks later. I will rent with Richmond in the future.

Richmond Rental handled my car repair claim PHENOMENALLY. Service took 3-5 weeks and I received a lovely rental in the meantime. I was referred to them by my aunt & I am blessed she sent me their way. My vehicle had been in several accidents and was one bump away from falling apart. The day I went in for service I was practically in tears from the nonsense i was facing with my car, but the staff was inviting and their customer service is so spectacular they made me feel sure my car was in the best hands. Everyone who works here has a terrific personality and they do the best job at making you feel comfortable. 10/10 would recommend. I will add photos of my car as proof of this shops amazing work- I couldn't find all photos but my right front bumper was damaged & hanging off, & I had two large horizontal dents on my hatchback--AND NOW, there is not even a scratch on my baby---They even cleaned the inside of my car for me! Richmond Motor Sales & Rental is Phenomenal, especially the owner, Dino!

That being said I drove the Richmond car all the way to Indiana but I was made aware that if anything took place and that car broke down I was responsible for getting it back to them and I was told without a shadow of a doubt I was not allowed to do anything under the hood or in the fuses do to their tracking systems and other devices let's say a mechanic goes under the roof and hit something cuz they don't know where it is and they can't get location or GPS signal on your car it will not turn on like at all. New York City is very common people who run from Richmond go there all the time just make sure that you know that you can handle a tow if anything ever happened with that vehicle accident breakdown whatever it maybe make sure you have a reserve to get that car back to them God forbid
