The website needs updating. We drove an hour yesterday only to find out that they haven’t been open to the Publix since before the pandemic. The person there was rude, curt and offensive..I just hope he treats animals better than people who show up to pay money to support the sanctuary. He wanted nothing to do with us.

I loved meeting the animals and enjoyed all their different personalities. It's amazing how much they thrive when they are treated with love and respect. It's a wonderful place for adults to learn. It's a great learning experience for children as well, granted they are behaving and listening and not attempting to touch animals that do not wish to interact or chase them. The guides are very good at detering this sort of behavior, but some kids are too persistent so if they won't listen quietly or stay in one spot then this isn't the best place to bring them. It's not a petting zoo, it's a lovely sanctuary.

Always an amazing experience meeting the animals, the staff is friendly, informed and polite while still promoting the positive message that animals are our friends not our food.
