My 88 year old Father called to make an appointment and how he was treated is appalling. He was asked questions and when he was trying to respond the woman, who I believe said her name was Tammy kept cutting him off and responding like she had no patience to spare! He hung up and was so confused because he just needs to get an appointment. I called back and also tried to make his appointment, again same woman answered and was anything but helpful. Except this time after I told her he needs an appointment she said “what’s his insurance” then before I was done even saying the name she was already interrupting me saying unless I have all that information with me she can’t make the appointment. What kind of customer service is this? An 88 year old man who has been a long time customer there is treated like this? He’s a veteran, and has constant appointments and he has never been treated like this. It is in very poor taste to work with that demographic and not even give them the chance to speak and to demand insurance insurance insurance. We obviously know nothing in life is free, and have no problem providing insurance information but this was ridiculous. I did not have his card, but he knows his numbers by heart and she still told me to call back because she needed all the information front and back of the card. At that point I called his dentist and requested to be sent somewhere else. That process was effortless. This was the most ridiculous process to make an appointment that we had to pay for !!! I’ve called and asked for the manager and have been told she will call me back but I’ve yet to hear from a single soul.

Awful experience with Dr. Shannon. I got my wisdom teeth out with this doctor. I was originally supposed to have Dr. Hunter, but they switched the doctor was switch about 5 minutes before the surgery, so I had never met him and did not have the flexibility in my schedule to reschedule. He came running in and was rushing everywhere and everything he was doing. He did not introduce himself or ask me how I was. I was just another number to him. He stuck me with the IV right away without explaining anything. He stuck the IV into my vein because he was in such a hurry so I started bleeding. He then tried to do the IV through my hand. When he finally got it, he was taping the IV down so aggressively that it was moving in my hand and it was extremely uncomfortable. I winced a little and he looked at me and said “what?” After the surgery was over he came rushing in again and asked the person picking me up if the nurse told him everything and then left in a hurry again without further explanation. He is NOT personable at all and I did NOT feel comfortable having the surgery done with him. I would never recommend him.

I have never been brought into the office at the time of my appointment. Usually it is more than an hour late. This also happened with my son when he was scheduled to have his wisdom teeth extracted The medical/surgical care is of the highest caliber. Time management and communication with patients needs much improvement

My husband and I are both patients and we have been very pleased with Northeast Oral Surgery. I had 3 implants by Dr. Shannon and he went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable. My mouth feels so much better and I am grateful that the entire process went smoothly. My husband also had oral surgery and Dr. Shannon was very open and up front with the entire process. He is a talented surgeon and we will definitely go there for future oral surgery. As far as the staff is concerned, they have been great! Helpful with insurance and billing issues and we are always greeted politely and efficiently. Highly recommend them.

Routine dental checkups and professional cleanings help ensure your smile remains in tip-top condition and that any developing problems receive the prompt care they require. While it’s a good idea to schedule a checkup and cleaning twice a year, longer or shorter intervals between routine visits depend on your specific needs.
