I just had a total hip replacement at APD Hospital. I cannot say enough good things about my experience. Ivan Tomek MD is wonderful. Patient, supportive, very well trained and experienced. I don't know what happened to this place but they are not nearly as good as they used to be. I would not recommend this Hospital to anyone. They did not help me at all. I went there because I was and still am in a lot of pain. All they did was give me pills ( which are not helping) And they literally had me running from place to place which was traveling around the state from one building to another. The only good thing that I can mention is that most of the staff ( not all of them) were good. Some of the staff was more helpful then the doctors that I had seen. They would also make appointments for me without informing me first as to what the appointments were for and making the appointments for the times of day that were inappropriate for me after I told them several times not to do so.

Came to the ER here with burns on my hand and was in a lot of pain. The doctor was kind and I liked her attention, softness, and recommendations. The nurse was unable to get my IV in and blamed it on me “for not sitting still”, yet another nurse was unable to get it in either and said it was because my veins were collapsing, which is not my fault. I didn’t appreciate the nurses rude attitude when it was clear I was in a lot of pain.

I have always found them to be super responsive, I wonder if numbers have shifted due to Covid. Keep trying, they provide excellent care (IMHO).
I'm not sure putting a question on this forum is going to be very helpful. It might be better to give APD a call and see if they would be able to accommodate him sooner than Cheshire.
