Let's just start with pulling into the parking lot. The restaurant setting is just spectacular! The grounds are so well taken care of and there's 2 ponds and seating outside and it's just so beautiful and peaceful, and then you go inside and that is gorgeous too. I've always loved this restaurant and the new owners have really taken good care and carried on the legacy. They have done some remodeling which is just beautiful, and the food was great and our waitress Kerri was just wonderful as well. You really are missing out on a great experience if you don't go there for dinner or lunch. They also do special events, wedding and baby showers, parties or whatever, I would take advantage of this local gem!

My husband and I celebrated our wedding reception at Madeline's Dining & Events & everything was exceptional! We could not have asked for better service or food. All staff that worked with our party were friendly, attentive, supportive, and collaborative. It was like a well oiled machine working and provided for a perfectly smooth experience for us & the guests. We encourage everyone to definitely check them out! & If you need a venue for an event, they are the perfect place with a gorgeous view!

I really hesitate leaving a negative review in this economy but a few things need to be addressed. We frequent the area and regularly stay at the motel next door partly because Madeline's is next-door and walking distance. We were seated promptly and in a booth adjacent to the bar. I ordered a double shot of Jack as that was the only whiskey they had. After a lengthy wait it came out. The rocks glass was overfilled with ice and only a single pour was given. Dinner orders were made and salads came out shortly thereafter. However they were dropped off and we had no tableware. We sat there watching the bartender and two servers talk at the bar and play on their phones until our entrees came out. At that time we asked for table ware. We had the prime rib med/rare. It came out nearly well done and dry. Steamed broccoli was cold and the fries were cold as well. When our entrees came out I ordered another drink and proceeded to watch the bartender again play on her phone and talk to the other servers. It took 20 mins for the drink to come out when there were only 2 tables total in the entire place. If I'm paying $30/ea for prime rib I expect it to be cooked to order but can forgive it being slightly over. Not sure how the sides are cold and the steak is overcooked. What I can't forgive is the lack of attention by the staff. This is likely the last time we will dine here. It seems the quality has drastically decreased in the last year.

This was our first time at Madeline's and, unfortunately, it was just okay. I had high hopes as I've been eye-balling it as an option for a relaxing night out with the wife for quite some time. We decided to try it out (last minute) with a friend that was celebrating his birthday. Saturday at around 6:30pm, so we (party of 5) anticipated a bit of a wait. We waited approximately a half hour (no problem) but were a bit surprised that we weren't offered drinks while we waited, but only menus to look at. The waitress was a bit slow and not very observant in regards to the needs at the table. We had to track her down for drink refills, ask for condiments, etc - Nothing was just brought or offered. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. It was hot, extremely juicy but I wasn't impressed with the seasoning used. It had a lot of flavor, but it just seemed to be missing something. Maybe because it didn't come with any condiments on it? We had ketchup on the table we had already asked for, so I just used that so I didn't have to wait for her to eventually come back around as the burger probably would have been cold. But the fries were delicious! Overall, we may try it again some day, but I'm not in a hurry to return. Hopefully (as with everywhere), the quality of manpower, or just additional manpower, will return eventually.
