My sobriety date 8/28/1978. Every day is a gift and I'm not self destructive anymore with people, places and things. I have healed my underlying causes with God, forgiveness, love and knowledge. Transformation is possible with ANY addiction. DDT

Sober since 11/8/10 but I know from being in AA that I only have today. Without my sponsor and the program (AA) I would not be here today. They have helped me resurrect a life that I almost gave away because I wanted to drink more than stay sober. Life is good, God is great and AA rocks.

Hi Damien, there are a few ways to find meetings: (1) download the Google Play or IOS app "Meeting Guide" created by A.A. World Services, Inc; (2)at www.aaboston.org (if you are in the Boston area), if not, www.aa.org; (3) you can contact AA Central Services requesting a meeting booklet be sent to you. There are also other ways, where are you located i.e. looking to go to meetings? I can pull your location and surrounding areas and post the link to your specific area. Melissa
Thanks for the information Billy. There should be a form your secretary has to fill out for the meeting change information
There is a meeting in your town. They meet Saturday St. John's 172 Main St. Hingham at 7 p.m. They can help you get a book.
Check out The AA Group pamphlet; or, Central Service might offer a recommendation. Generally, however, each group may discuss and determine their own requirements.
There is a list of Area Alkathons that I'm not able to attach here. I'll try to get it to you
Download the meeting guide app
There is a live meeting every day but Sunday at 1pm in Stoneham. Baptist Church on Main Street. Many others are open too. Download the meetings app to your phone as there are no new meeting books printed yet.
You can find any area in person meetings and on zoom at aaboston.org
Look on the secretary bulletin
You can call the bookroom and order it. I just went down there and bought mine in person
There is a list on the aaboston.org website. Under monthly bulletins then December. This page won't let me attach it

No Alkathon's on Memorial Day that I know of. There are however July 4th Alkathon's. Check monthly bulletin link at aaboston.org
It depends usually on how long the person is in recovery. It wouldn't bother me either way. If the person has a good foundation and working there program it probably will be ok either way.
Thanks Bart. My nephew needs to get to a mtg. I am in NJ and trying to help. He has no car so I need a # he can call and talk with someone. Can you provide # I can pass on?

Download the app meeting guide. Anywhere you are, at any time, you can find a meeting
Ism's is the behavior part of being an alcoholic. Sometimes being selfish is an ism, or isolating, or being angry. Also you could use ISM as an acronym for I sponsor myself. Basically NOT using the principles of of AA as a way of life.
In honor of the memory of a friend of the manager. Nothing to do with the fellowship.
I cannot involve the police. I need a third party that understands alcoholism to help my husband to understand why I am afraid and why he needs to go into a treatment center. I got him to admit it’s so bad he would stop drinking. Then backpedaling to a few beers should be ok. He says he’ll go the the doctor tomorrow about self medicating. I’ve been here before. He won’t go. If I can’t get a surprise visit today, I’m afraid of losing traction.
It is a requirement to read the Preamble at the beginning of every 12 step meeting
There is a commitment exchange held the 3rd Sunday of each month from 12:30 -2pm at Central Service, 12 Channel Street, suite 604, Boston, MA 02210
Doesn't sound like this was funded by aa donations.
Same building Friday night
