Dave was awesome. We had some property and we wanted to find the rightful owner. He worked hard to help us do that. When he found that the owner had passed away, he found the next of kin and it only took a day or two for this tough search. Having worked thousands of missing person cases over a 40 year career it has become so much easier in the last 10–15 years because of the internet and various data sources to find a birth parent. Having said that if a PI is just depending on one of the major data providers for a hard to find missing parent then they might not be the right person for your case. Many times because of national archives genealogy databases such as Ancestry, My Heritage and Family Tree, public records along with newspaper announcements, from approximate time of birth and finding actual relatives to the missing parent is how many cases get resolved. The cases I enjoy are the ones where the data sources are used which gives you a lead or points you in the right direction then phone calls need to be made and finally connecting the dots to get to the parent in question. Now using modern technology with good old fashioned “gum shoe” work that is what private investigation work is all about!
Be objective, always look at facts. Don’t act from emotion and be precise when collecting evidence and giving out information.

We work 24 hours 7 Days a WEEK. We may work typical hours when engaging in research or making pretext calls from a burner phone. When we work on a case, we may conduct covert surveillance at any given time, including nights, weekends, and holidays. We may also conduct field interviews, which can occur at the convenience of the interviewee or witness. Investigative hours depend on a particular case and on the investigator's position and field of expertise.
