I. Love. This. Store. It's such a problem for my wallet. It's in a gorgeous old building with books in beautiful little nooks and crannies, and they have a surprisingly great selection despite being a little small. They also have a lot of cute bookish gifts, and can order you basically any book you want!

I won an Instagram giveaway from River Bend Bookshop for a children's book so I made the trip down to Glastonbury. What a gem this place is! Though the store has a small footprint, it is filled with all of the latest books and even has a children's room where I found another book to purchase as a baby shower gift. The employees were super helpful and friendly. Highly recommend shopping here.

This fantastic bookstore is everything you want in an independent bookstore. There's a great selection, personally curated by the staff, all of whom are avid readers of a variety of genres. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, but don't feel like salespeople. If they don't have what you're looking for, they'll get it for you with the convenience that you'd expect from a larger chain, but with the personal touch and persistence (if it's something hard to acquire) that can only be found in an indie bookstore. I highly recommend River Bend Bookshop to all readers in the Southern New England area.
