Like most local hardware stores, you rarely get 3 steps into the store before an employee asks if they can help. And unless you're looking for something way out or extremely specific, they probably have it.

I love this place so much. They have a surprisingly wide variety of products for their size (from potting soil to specialty cabinet screws) and if you happen to be searching for something they don't have on hand, they will gladly order it for you. Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable. Always a delight to go there. If you're looking for that old school "we gotcha covered" Mom and Pop hardware store experience, this is absolutely the place for you.

I visit Katz regularly and it is always a positive experience. From the paint desk to shopping for a new grill, their staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to help. I highly recommend you stop in and experience the difference in customer service for yourself! For me there is nothing that inspires customer loyalty moreso than a friendly and helpful staff -- they do so much more than simply direct you to an isle number. I am sorry, but we do not take the old grill away. The town of Glastonbury has a put and take place as well as metal recycling at the town recycling center on Newlondon Turnpike.
Katz Hardware COVID practices We require everyone who enters our store to wear a mask. Hand sanitizers are located at each entrance. Acrylic glass separates cashiers from customers. We disinfect the store every day. We try to keep social distance where ever possible. Employees have their temperatures taken every day and assess health. Employees are required to immediately notify of any COVID contacts.
