Customer reps are polite but the service experience is unsatisfactory. I believed in their service so I went there for the second time to tighten my car brakes. They insisted on doing full inspection and then they charge for replacing all the small components and both the cylinders whereas the problem was with the leak in one of the cylinders of Rear Brake Shoes. Even though it felt unnecessary to replace everything I agreed to the estimate of $600+ so that I’m satisfied with the brakes in my car. However, after the service, there’s hardly 5% difference in effectiveness of the brakes. It still takes a while to come to stop and that’s the reason I opted to spend so much. I just feel like my needs weren’t fulfilled and they definitely lost a good customer. ———————————————————————————— UPDATE – We decided to give RI Automotive another chance upon owner’s request but unfortunately, they didn’t really mean working on their mistakes. They had previously driven the car for around 20 miles to figure out the exact problem, but the issue wasn’t resolved at all. The second time we went to the shop to see how they will work on it and took a ride with the owner. He could figure out the exact issue as he has years of experience. We were happy that they care about their service and customer satisfaction, and we were hoping that our issue would be resolved this time. So, we went there third time to turn in the car for repair as discussed with owner. The rep had a different attitude if we compare it to the one, he had in front of the owner. He wanted us to go on a test ride with one of his mechanics to exactly find out what the issue is, and this was the third time. I mean seriously! It’s really not that of a complicated issue. I am just student out there and if I can tell the brakes are not working properly (which the owner also agreed to in less than 2 miles), how hard it is for the mechanics/reps to figure it out after 20 miles? I had asked him if we would be given an additional quote on top of the 600+ dollars we have already paid. His reply was “I CAN’T FIX IT FOR YOU FOR FREE”. After spending such a significant amount on something that wasn’t fixed, who in their right mind would go to the same shop again to pay more! They claim to have tested everything and based on that they replaced both the rear cylinders and all the small component the first time. The reason I spent so much was just to make sure I don’t have any issues later. So ultimately, they didn’t fix the issue I had and wanted me to pay more to work on it. They’re simply ripping off their customers.
