Went in to get a library card and from the time I walked in, the guard glared at me the entire 10 minutes it took to complete the process. I even held eye contact and arched my brow, but he still was giving me the stink eye untill I walked out This type of behavior is very unsettling at a libraryor anywhere for that matter I hope they can get that guy some training or just replace him.

It's a very friendly place. The librarians are great. You vote here on election day. They have a copier, printers (pay/need a copy card they provide for $1 and you can only add to it with coins/bills) and computers for use. It's located right on the 64, 66 (out front),70 and 80 bus routes within 5min each way.

Yes! You can print from our public computers. If you don't have a library card, speak to our staff and we'll help you get set up with our public computing services.
We don't have a date for the return of reservable, enclosed meeting spaces yet. It will depend upon public health guidance from the city and the state. Be sure to check our website at www.bpl.org regularly though. We've got a banner at the top of the home page that always links to the latest information.
If you have been notified that you have a hold to pick up, just go to www.bpl.org and click on the button near the top that says "Schedule a Holds Pickup". If you run into any problems, just give us a call at 617-787-6313.
