These people will never answer their phone, they just gave me a sick fish that wiped out my tank and I will see zero accountability from them. Funny how it’s always “bring in a sample of your water” okay well I’ve had multiple tanks established for over 3 years and I’ve been owning cichlids for 12+ years. I can 100% tell you ITS NOT THE WATER ITS THE FISH THAT DIDNT EAT FOR THREE WEEKS AND THEN CROAKED. Such a stupid response. “Let’s see your water” hahahahahaha

This place used to be state of the art. They used to have the best fish expert in the Capital region. It’s very run down now. Tanks look dirt. Lighting in the place is terrible at I out to dinner or in a aquarium store. Are they selling me fish or trying to romance me. It’s just not the same as it used to be. We would only go here for fish and we used to go just to look now we don’t bother.

The staff is super helpful and kind, everyone seems to genuinely love their job and happy to help. The hardware, the food, the supplies have a lot of verity. Very useful even for exotic fish / amphibians. However. The issue seems to be the fish. Not only are the fish very pricey, but their health doesn't seem to be the best. We have bought a few fish and immediately noticed some health issues. My biggest issue I have is the axolotls. They are an endangered species that need very specific care, and they look beyond awful every time I go there. They are missing limbs from attacking each other. No hides. Visible signs of distress and health issues because of being in the wrong habitat. Please stop selling them. I'm happy to shop for hardware and/or supplies but I am not a big fan of the live fish.

It is a fish store, not an actual aquarium. Still great to go look around though.
Is it a *him*, or are they two small males mating with what you though was a him and actually is a her?
I would suggest reaching out to Eddies directly. If you google "Eddies Aquarium" you will be able to find the number and ask them directly for specific numbers.
Sorry, we do not
If they are small and you have excellent filtration perhaps. Keep in mind they may quickly outgrow the 20 gallon. When larger a 75 gallon would be ideal.
Yes they take and rehome fish. Call first !!
I would bag it up and return. I bought a fish there 1 month ago and it was dead when I got it home. They took it back no questions- call first
Call Eddie's they will help you over the phone
Hello, Eddie’s does offer fish rehoming. Call 518-783-3474 and press option 2 to leave your info. Some goldfish species have restrictions. We will do our best to assist you. Thank you!
They have a large outside. I have seen ponds there. Call
If you use a filter or filter media from a well established tank, as soon as it is set up and to proper temperature it should be safe. Keep in mind waiting too long is actually dangerous when using media this way, because the nitrifying bacteria will starve without food, and that you should start with only a few at first to give the bacteria time to colonize the new tank.
Last time i was in there, (which granted was a couple months ago), he was selling the LED starter kits from Aqueon in a 20tall size. Your best bet would be petco's dollar per gallon sale and buy a glass top separate, or a starter kit from Petsmart down the road, cuz honestly they were a little expensive if i remember correctly. Ask if they will price match, some places do some wont. Imo sometimes the best way to get tanks is to find a great deal on a clean secondhand one i.e. Craigslist etc, have found tons of mine that way..
Maybe a rasbora
