READ THIS BEFORE USING PROFESSIONAL PLUMBING & DESIGN, INC. My experience with Professional Plumbing & Design, Inc., last month was HORRIBLE. I scheduled their plumbers to pop out two toilets and two vanities on a Thursday and then to pop those back in on a Friday after another company installed flooring in my bathrooms earlier on Friday. The plumbers came on Thursday, worked for about 30 to 40 minutes, and then gave me the bill: $334, which is what they would charge for an hour of work ($275 per hour plus a $59 service call fee). Mind you, they worked for much less time than that. I told the plumber the price seemed high and that I might look elsewhere for the second half of my work, which was scheduled to be done the next day, Friday. He said to call the office if I wanted to cancel, and I said I would. Unable to find any other plumbing services, I called Professional Plumbing & Design, Inc.'s office on Friday morning to confirm my appointment for that afternoon. In an argumentative manner, the receptionist said that she had canceled my appointment without my approval and filled that appointment slot with someone else because I had expressed the possibility of finding a different plumber to do the remainder of the work. She then said that the earliest she could schedule me in for was Tuesday, meaning I'd be without toilets four more days. She then suggested I leave a message for the "manager," which I did. My voicemail was never returned. This comes after I had asked the receptionist to give me a price for the work earlier in the week -- Professional Plumbing charges flat rates by the project, so they can provide quotes -- and she said she would. She never did. You should only go with "Professional" Plumbing & Design, Inc. if you want A) the receptionist to lie to you by saying she would provide you with information but then never doing so; B) your appointment status to be potentially be revoked and pushed off for several days; C) questionable billing practices; and D) the manager to display poor customer service by not returning a call or helping make the situation any better. I will say that the plumbers themselves did good work. They worked quickly, answered my questions thoughtfully, and were courteous. They're just stuck in a bad situation with an office that doesn't support them. I'm considering taking my case to the Better Business Bureau to see if they can help more people not suffer through the same poor business practices that I had to go through. EDIT: Note how "Professional" Plumbing & Design, Inc. declined in its response below to address many of the points I brought up in my original review and confirmed its poor customer service in my case. Also, the company only apologized here because I called out their poor customer service in a review. They declined to do anything -- such as not being argumentative on the phone, honoring my original appointment because of their mistake, or having the manager return my call -- when I called to confirm my appointment on that Friday.

Jeff with Professional Plumbing was fantastic. He was very professional, polite, and easy to talk to. Beyond that, he is very knowledgeable and a great plumber as well. I described for him a problem that has plagued me for years. One that multiple other plumbers were unable to diagnose or fix. Jeff had it running better than the day I moved in in under an hour. Can't recommend Jeff or Professional Plumbing enough. Use them with confidence.

They had to pull a permit to replace the backflow. Initial call was in January. Called several times in February asking about the status. Was told waiting for the permit. Had to go down to Manatee County permitting in mid- March about another situation and asked about the backflow permit. Was advised it was pulled 1/28. Called to let them know the permit was pulled 6 weeks prior. They had the team at my home the next day. I then had to chase to get the permit closed. Probably good for repairs but not anything needing a permit.

I’m a repeat customer and I have to give a shout out to Cam and Cody for some solid repair work on our water heater. The gentleman took the time to test the issue, was upfront about pricing and options, and took care of the issue. Scheduling was great too as it only took a couple days to come out and take care of it the same day. Recommend you call these guys vs. the big name groups in town.
