I totally recommend this Cruise. I loved the Madeleine's Scenic Day Sail. It's the perfect thing to do in a sunny Sunday with family, friends or just your partner. It's a great sailing experience through Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay. They show many historical points, islands and lighthouses.

I enjoyed the cruise with family. Took the Rum Runner boat. The tour guide was great. She gave the history of many mansions, lighthouses, bridges and many other items along the cruise. Everyone enjoyed the cruise.

These guys are the best. Had a booze cruise and then a fireworks cruise for the 4th. Make sure to check in with them right before they go. They squeezed us and my service dog on the boat. Awesome service to veterans! Don’t do the larger cruises go with these guys they will make it a special event for you!

3rd trip in as many years with Classic Cruises of Newport! Always a wonderful time! Went out on the Rum Runner 2 the previous years and took the sailboat this year! So much more interesting and we blessed that there was a wonderful group of strangers to share trip with.

Hi Angel. Thanks for your inquiry. At this time, are only able to accept service animals on board. I hope we will be able to see you on board.
Hi Meredith, Thanks for your inquiry! Our first day of sailing this year is Saturday April 25th - we always start the last weekend in April and end the first weekend in November. Feel free to call us at 401 847-0298 and we can go over availability and let you know about our variolous itineraries. We can even book your tyickets right over the phone and email you a receipt. Looking forward to having you on board :)
Hi Linda, Thank you for your inquiry - we offer a Champagne Sunset Sail aboard our 72' schooner, Madeleine every evening. The sail is very scenic, taking you by different estates, islands, lighthouses and many other beautiful sites along Newport's waterfront. On board we serve champagne and beer, water and ice tea all included in the ticket price of $48. And watching the sun setting and sipping champagne while sailing across the bay aboard Madeleine is a great experience not to be missed. Madeleine does hold up to 49 guests on board and you can either purchase tickets and be on with other guests OR you can privately charter Madeleine for just you and your guests. Chartering Madeleine for 2 peoples ($2000) wont be nearly as budget friendly as purchasing two tickets ($48 each) but then again, you do get the whole boat to yourselves (along with our crew). I hope this information is helpful - please call me at 401 835 2409 and Im happy to go over both options in more detail - Kim
Hi Susan, Thanks for your inquiry. We offer 5 different itineraries between both our boats and ticket prices range between $28 and $48 per person depending on the boat and itinerary. Once you purchase tickets, they are all refundable up to 24 hours prior to the departure time you choose. Inside of 24 hours, they would be non refundable unless we are able to resell them and then we will give a full refund back to you. On the day of the cruise, if we cancel for weather - you have two options: Rescheduling your trip if you would like OR receiving a full refund on all the tickets. I hope this information is helpful. Please call us at 401 835 2409 for any additional information, to check availability or to talk more about the experience each boat has to offer. Kim
Hi Joe, That's a great question. There really was no Rum Runner I. I know that sounds a little funny since there is Rum Runner II. Our Rum Runner II was built in 1929 and was a real rum runner during the Prohibition Era. She was built to outrun the US Coast Guard while smuggling rum and other contraband alcohol. She did that until 1933, the end of Prohibition. After that, she became a research vessel for Bell Laboratories and the went on to become a Long Island Commuter Ferry for a number of years. We found her at a boat yard up in Albany New York where she had been sitting for a number of years after she was taken out of service as a ferry boat. She was in rough shape - this was back around 1991. We saw her and did a little research into her past and with a past like hers, we couldn't let her sit there and fade away. So we purchased the boat, re-powered her with twin turbo Cat diesel engines, refurbished her and brought her back to life again making her Rum Runner II.
