Friendly and helpful. To the negative reviews re staff not being friendly. Are you friendly to everyone you meet down state? Or mainly people you know? Especially the ones who ask stupid questions with an arrogance? If you don’t like going to the transfer station? get pick up service or drive to the landfill in Walton. The transfer station is just that. A place where trash can be put until it is picked up and transferred to the landfill in Walton. It is not a dump or landfill.

It's just trash dump for town residents, people working there are pleasant. Not much more to say!

Serves it's purpose but don't expect anyone to react whatsoever if you say "hello, have a nice day" every single time for years. They are very selective about who they will act human toward.

I do like their cleanliness and recycling efforts as others have mentioned but they tend to close early and when you challenge them on it the operator’s response was “Well according to my clock, the dump is closed.” (I guess he doesn’t know how to use an iPhone.)

Also bring your current vehicle registration. I did it yesterday and they need your vehicle registration as well.
Call Patty Kelly Town Clerk for Middletown. If you pay taxes on the property that is in Delaware County to Town of Middletown makes sense that you would be able to get a transfer station permit. It'll be interesting to hear what you find out.
