This was actually my third time needing physical therapy (all separate occasions). I had tried ATI the first time because of a convenient location and ended up using ATI for all three instances. This group does a great job addressing whatever issue you come in with, and teaching you what you need to know to keep making progress outside their facilities. They’ve always been flexible in appointment times—having a standard time every week, or changing it every time—so no matter what has been happening with my schedule I’ve never had an issue getting an appointment time to come in. Laksman Shapiro, PT, DPT, specifically was great to work with. He was professional, knowledgeable, and super personable. I have always had positive experiences with ATI but he is a caliber above the rest. I went in for core strength issues after having my daughter, and he quickly zeroed in on the specific problems that were preventing me from building up strength. He also found and addressed some surrounding issues that previous physical therapists had missed. Got me started on super simple and gentle exercises that helped me get going, and ramped everything up slowly enough that I wasn’t dying but quickly enough to keep on challenging me. This was the fastest I’ve ever “graduated” from physical therapy, and I am really pleased with the progress I made. He’s also great at chatting but not blabbing. Sounds like a weird thing to focus on, but when you’re stuck in a room with someone for an hour twice a week, it’s nice to be able to chat instead of just sitting in silence until they tell you what exercise to do next. It’s even better to not have someone who *never* *stops* *talking*. He hits a great mid-point between those two. One of the thing’s I’ve always found particularly awkward about physical therapy has been when only one or two clients are in the facility. Too many people for one on one conversations (no matter what volume people talk at, if you’re not participating it feels like eavesdropping), but not enough that it’s reasonable to just ignore everyone else. But he has a talent for engaging everyone in the conversation so no one feels awkward or left out, and everyone has a good time. Super pleased to have worked with him, and I would 100% recommend this group, and specifically Laksman’s services, to anyone who needs physical therapy.

I went to ATI with a food injury. I went in thinking I may never be able to run like I used to, but after 8 weeks of PT I'm feeling confident that I will be able to get back to my normal ways. During my first visit with Dr. Shapiro he predicted that the PT would need 8 weeks and he stuck to this prediction. I left every appointment more confident that I was moving in the right direction towards recovery.

Dr. Shapiro is a true professional. Smart, welcoming, personable. I appreciate how he methodically identified the challenges and weakness with my back and quickly got me on an exercise program and regimen. He took the time to find the best solutions and treatments (including exercises) to improve and strengthen my back. I found the exercises to be extremely effective and impactful; progressing consistently over the course of just a few weeks. Moreover, Dr. Shapiro recommended that I see a spine specialist while actively doing PT to 'rule-out' anything that he might be missing. He took the time to ensure that we covered all of our bases. Dr. Shapiro is very good at what he does, and it is clear to me that he is passionate about helping others. If you have to turn to PT, I would highly recommend Dr. Shaprio. He very much cares about your well-being, and he will exhaust all avenues to ensure you are on a path to better health. Thank you for all of your help and support, Dr. Shapiro!

I went to ATI Physical Therapy for physical therapy on my foot after bunion surgery. I saw Dr. Laksman Shapiro. Dr. Shapiro provide excellent physical therapy services. He is very knowledgeable, kind, patient, encouraging. Dr. Shapiro was committed to helping me reach my goals. I really appreciated how attentively he listened to my weekly updates on how my foot/ankle were feeling and shaped the physical therapy work to meet my needs. In the future if I have a need for physical therapy I will go to Dr. Shapiro for treatment.
