0 stars-DO NOT RECOMMEND, If I could give zero stars I would. I had called ahead to ask if they could see my dog Gus, as his regular Vet was booked solid. Gus had a very large abscess form very very quickly (I was shocked at how fast the size increased in just a few hours) The abscess started to pull his jowl downward and he was in much discomfort. NE AMC said they would add him to their board to be seen and we started the journey to the hospital. Upon arrival (5:20 PM) we were greeted by a vet tech who looked at his jaw and said have a seat we will be right with you. Gus began to moan and whimper very loudly and he was upsetting the other dog in the waiting room so they moved us to exam room 6 and a different vet tech listened to his heart and stated someone would be right with you. 2 Hours later Gus's mouth began to bleed, I went out to the front desk and stated his mouth was bleeding the paper towels were not helping and if someone to get me some gauze. Another hour and no came to check on him. Fed up we told the front desk this was the worst treatment we had ever experienced. They said we could leave him there to which I said ""Why, so you can place him in a kennel by himself and continue to ignore him?"" Do not bring your pets there if you can help it. I called my regular vet, explained how were treated and that the abscess had burst over-night, and if they could squeeze him in today. They were shocked when I told them about our experience at NE AMC. I have submitted a complaint to the DPL (Division of Professional Licensure's Board of Registration in Veterinary Medicine). Extremely unprofessional, sorely understaffed-and dont bother with some generic response that you ""aim to provide us with the best care possible"" non-sense. If you are critically understaffed-you need to stop advertising 24 hour care available and tell prospective clients the truth that you just dont have the capabilities to perform the services you advertise on Google.

I had a wonderful experience here this week. My dog ate something he wasn't supposed to. After not eating and not even able to keep water down for 36 hours we called at 10pm Wednesday night. They called me within 15-20 minutes to let me know that he had been seen and the treatment plan. He ended up staying overnight and I picked him up the next afternoon. The 2 doctors I spoke with, receptionists and nursing staff were all amazing. Transparent about the cost and what would need to be done. Not pushy at all about what they think would be best. Open to my opinion which isn't always the case at some places. I will absolutely return here the next time I need emergency medical treatment for my pets and I recommend others check out this facility as well!

When our rescue got sick we headed to another animal hospital, 5 minutes prior to us arriving they called and said they couldn’t take him unless we wanted to wait hours. I called my vet back and they recommended NEAMC. I called them as I headed that way and they did the intake right over the phone. Within 20 min of them taking Tater in Dr. McNerney had already run tests and had some answers where I still would have been sitting in a waiting room at the other hospital. Sadly we had to make the most difficult decision to let him go but the staff there was amazing. We are grateful for the compassion they had for Tater and cannot thank them enough for all they did to try to save our sweet boy.

Horrible and if I could give them no stars I would took my dog with a gash in her neck to get it cleaned or anything they had her for hours I sat outside waiting after 4 hours I called them cause I have my 1 year old with me they told me I should have left and the nurse made a mistake not telling me they also said my dog hasn't been seen yet so I leave and go home to feed my son and they call me to go get my dog the second I get home saying they can't do anything today . They gave her antibiotics and didn't clean the wound nothing just gave her back full of blood . They also decided to charge me 145 dollars for bringing her there even though they did nothing . Plus 18 for the antibiotics they gave her . They should be shut down . After going back for her and paying they take 30 minutes to bring her out i had to ask what was going on to a nurse taking boxes to the dumpster she said a dog is coding in the back so it may be a little . Horrifying experience. The photo is after they gave her back to me 😓

They didn't say only people could make an appointment and discuss the issue
We do not currently have an MRI, we have a CT unit. Places likely to have MRI units also have neurologists. You can check Veterinary Neurology in Walpole, VCA South Shore in Weymouth and Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston. Our CT is offline for another couple weeks while we are under construction. Hope all goes OK for whatever reason you need the MRI.
No unfortunately I don't know of any animal hospital or vet that does. They do have application for care credit card.. good luck
They have emergency room for animals that require attention immediately, without an appointment.
Animal protection center of southeastern ma. APCSM helped us, & may be a better bet.
Dont walt get the dog to the vet
