Horrible customer service. Good install but don't plan on any help after that. We had G&M install a beautiful granite countertop in 2019. Their selection of materials was amazing and the install crew was very professional. Within 4 months we noticed that the clear seal in a 1"x1" area had peeled away down to the rough granite. We called G&M and they said they would get someone out there as soon as they could, but with the height of Covid they were not doing any in home repair work. Understandable. We remained patient and finally about 8 months ago they got a technician out to our home to clean and reseal the area. The repair failed within 2 months. We called them back and they said they would talk to the technician and have him contact us to make it right. I called this morning and talked to Mike Roohan. He said he would look into it and get back to me. He got back to me an hour later and surprisingly said in no uncertain terms would they bother to make good on our installed countertop, because they were too busy to ever do so. I asked him, “NEVER??” He said that they would not be able to help us. Ever. Period. I asked him if this is how their customer service was, and he got angry and told me that he would put me on their "NEVER CALL BACK" list. I didn't know reputable companies had their own blacklist! He then hung up on me. Fortunately, being a contractor, I know of a couple of GOOD AND REPUTABLE companies that should be able help me out. I will also NOT be calling G&M for the next kitchen, the next 3 bathrooms and any other projects I have in the future and will NOT be recommending or referring any prospective customers to the G&M company. Thanks Mike for letting me know your true colors.

I was working with Margaret, she was very rude, very unprofessional and the whole demeanor was so off! I'm trying to spend money to make my home better, I've got no problem spending the money that is needed and to put the work into it, but when I'm dealing with someone who makes me feel unwelcomed and like it's a waste of my time and being insulted the whole time, I'll take my business elsewhere. The whole experience was horrible, and I wouldn't recommend her nor this company to ANYONE, not even someone I HATED. This was all around the worse experience I've ever had!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I had a really wonderful experience with Granite & Marble Works. (We were working closely with Melanie and she was fabulous!) All of the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and were always available to answer my many questions. We love their huge showroom and there were several options that would have been perfect for our kitchen. (Best selection in the area!) We went with Cosmic Gold granite and it went perfect with our new cherry cabinets! The installers did a perfect job, especially with the seams, and everyone we worked with was professional and efficient. The pricing was also very fair! We will absolutely be using them in the future - highly recommend!

A very professional company to do business with. They have a large slate ( stone joke) of materials to choose from. Christine was a sales rep and continued to give great customer service throughout the entire process. Very impressed with the installation crew extending every courtesy they could . Aided with additional cabinet installation and new trim under new counter top ( supplied by me). The quality of their work is without question excellent. Pricing was equal to level of product and service !

There are different grades of stone in the market today. While they appear similar, there are color, structure, and quality differences that dictate how the stone is graded at the quarry. All of the stone for our stone countertops is "First Quality" or "First Choice".
GOOD NEWS! Stains can usually be removed and most etch marks can be repaired. Just give us a call. Our skilled craftsmen are specially trained to repair your stone and protect your investment. For customers who purchased countertops from us, many repairs will be performed at no charge for as long as you own the countertops. However, we also do countertop repairs even if we didn't supply your stone. Call us for a free estimate.
Most of our stone is resin-treated at the factory, adding a layer of protection to the stone before we receive it. When we install your granite or marble countertop, the last step we take is to apply a permanent sealant to provide an extra barrier against liquid absorption. You shouldn’t have to do anything more to your stone, besides enjoy a care-free lifetime of use!
To keep stone countertops clean, use a microfiber cloth to dust-off the surface. Clean with mild soap and water or a stone cleaner formulated with a neutral pH. Use a clean soft cloth for best results. Never use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
The business is open by appointment only. Masks are required and social distancing is practiced.
The durability of Marble depends on the particular stone and how you use the space where you are using the material. Marble is typically more susceptible to staining, scratching, and etching, but not necessarily chipping. Our knowledgeable staff can guide you based on not only your design needs, but also your needs for the space.
Travertine tends to be a porous material whose characteristics include holes and pits that were generated either by gasses trapped by the sediments or by water plants that were trapped inside the formation and then decomposed. Typically, Travertine is available in a wide range of neutral colors. Although travertine is durable, it is susceptible to heat, scratching, staining, and acidity, and is not recommended for the kitchen. It can work in bathrooms, furniture and accent pieces, and mantels.
Granite tends to start in a lower budget category and carry up into the higher budgets as well. All of our stone is First Quality material, so this pricing differentiation is not a reflection of the quality of the stone, but rather the availability and rarity of it. Soapstone sits somewhere in the middle of the wide range granite pricing category. If you have a drawing of your project, we would be happy to send you a detailed price quote of your job.
