I have tried almost every vet in chittenden county, an Addison county. Came across Shelburne vet an they are now our vet an have been for a year now. All staff are friendly, caring, knowledgable people. They do great work with the animals an have seen many of our pets. Always great service an great end results.

Fantastic vets! They serve ferrets. We had an issue with another place because they weren’t thorough with their exam and so the problem kept persisting but the vets at Shelburne Veterinary Hospital listened to our concerns and gave us proper medication for our ferrets.

I've utilized several different veterinary hospitals/clinics in the Chittenden County area for all of my many animals over the past three decades and I've never had as poor of an experience as I've had while being a client at Shelburne Veterinary Hospital. I've consistently had disappointing experiences, especially since Covid. I've tried to be understanding of the impact Covid likely had on SVH, but the lack of care and consideration for my elderly sick pet is just inexcusable to me at this point. Every single time I've tried to make a sick appointment they're never able to get me in for several days or even a week+. More often than not, when I call during business hours I'm forced to leave a message, as no one answers my call. What is worse is there have been several instances where I've called and left a message and haven't gotten a call back or received any form of follow up. Just recently, I brought my sick/elderly pet in for blood work and was told I would receive a call within a few days to discuss the results. It has been over a week and when I called today to inquire about the blood work results and to have those results sent to a specialist who is concerned my pet may have cancer, I was once again forced to leave a message because no one answered my call. I'm disappointed, but not surprised that I never heard back before the end of the business day. I am writing this review not in an attempt to defame the clinic, or Dr. Bisson, but to raise awareness for current and future clients that you are likely not going to receive the level of care that most pet parents hope to receive when attempting to care for and advocate for the health and quality of life of your beloved animal. I've decided to give 2 stars instead of 1 because there was a time where I felt that my pets were in good hands. But unfortunately it has been quite a while since I've felt that way.

Dr. Raezer and staff were amazing with our dogs Luna and Hansel. It was their first time there and it felt like we've been going there for years. Having just moved to Vermont, finding a good vet for our precious doggies was extremely important. Thanks SVH for making it a smooth transition.
