First time renting kayaks from Crystal River Kayak Co. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I chose them because; #1 Dog friendly #2 Convenience of launching. They have super easy access with parking on site and you are only minutes away from Three Sisters Springs. All of their kayaks are really nice and they offer many different sizes. They pull the kayaks up a ramp on the dock and you load everyone in and the staff slide you into the canal. No worries about stepping off of the dock into the boat and falling in. They have a great retail store. The only negative is they only have 3 porta potties(which they mention on the website, so this was not a surprise) which weren't the cleanest. My recommendation is to rent early to get to the Springs and beat the crowds. Our overall experience was great and we will definitely go back again and even purchase snorkeling equipment from their shop. Our dog loved it too!

So worth it!! My 13 y/o son had one of his best experiences of the summer…..as did I. We rented a tandem kayak and it worked out perfectly. I was told to go as early as possible, which was definitely the right call, as the Florida sun really starts to warm things up in the afternoon. The staff in the shop was extremely friendly and helpful. A piece of advice: they sell waterproof cases for your phone - for under $20, this is BY FAR the best accessory to have. The photos attached were taken with my phone inside the case - an easy way to capture those memories and keep your phone safe. Everyone was so kind, from beginning to end. We will be coming back with friends for sure. Thank you all 😎

My wife and I had a blast. It's June, so we knew finding a manatee would be difficult, but we found 8! This is the best kayak company around, for sure. Their location is perfect, extremely close to Three Sisters springs. We saw so many people paddling long distances, getting lost. We helped multiple groups find their way to the most coveted places because we had a map, and started so close. You definitely need to use these guys. It was so good, we used them two days in a row.

We had an absolutely amazing day! We saw so many manatees when we went yesterday. The guy who helped us load up in the kayak gave us the best tips on where to go to see them! It was a huge success. We were still able to swim in the springs, even though we couldn't kayak in. I was so glad the kayak had its own tie off on it so we could anchor to the rope there! This was our second time and we will deff be back!

All depends on the kayak
What is the charge for a kayak
Hi Carol, we do allow you to take kayaks off site! Call 352-795-2255 during business hours!
Yes you can. Just no dog swimming in the springs
Yes, depending on where you launch from you may have to pay a few dollars and sign a waiver.
Yes dogs are allowed. You must keep them on the kayak in Three Sisters spring. Dogs are not allowed on the land. People are not allowed to go from water to land either.
No, all paddling is in canals and Kings Bay. There is very little current from the tides. The river starts on the NW side of Kings Bay. (The far side of the bay from us) Three Sisters Spring is only a 10 minute paddle from our launch.
Just came from Three Sisters. About 25 manatees in the sanctuary. A baby was around the Springs as well by himself
Rarely sell rentals as we run year around.
Single kayaks are $25 for 2 hours and $35 for 4 hours. Add $10 for a double. $35 and $45.
Yes, 2 is the youngest allowed on a kayak
