Barbara, clothing is always a help but the Red Cross does not accept them for disaster relief. Monetary donations are always best. This way they can give the clients exactly what is needed and can use the local resources in the impacted areas to help rebuild those communities.

Some parts are within the flood zone. If you don't feel safe in your home, or you are afraid of severe flooding in your area, there is still time, until Friday at 3pm, to travel to a nearby hurricane shelter where you will be safe. Be sure to bring bedding supplies, medicines, personal papers, etc.

Palm Beach County is operating the shelters and has not announced which shelters will open. Red Cross will assist in operating the dormitories in 6 of those shelters.
