Very old Florida feeling, with nice trails to hike with plenty of nature to see. A place to launch a boat or kayak for fun shark teeth hunting. Family friendly and quiet. 50 amp service and a tent area as well. Be aware the water is dark, as is most of the Peace River..

This is a neat little County Park that allows camping and has a kayak launch. Not really a whole lot to say about it except that it's pretty remote and peaceful. One thing that's noteworthy as you're coming into the park... Take a look at the stain lines on the trees that show the high-water mark from a hurricane several years back. It's a good couple or three feet higher than most vehicles. Something neat to talk to your kids about.

My friend & I just got back from camping at Brownsville Park with our kids. This was our second time, & it was great! Paul, the camp host, is awesome. He stopped by many times to ensure that we were ok, asking if we needed anything. We highly recommend Brownsville Park, & hope Paul is there next year also Take your kids, they will love looking for sharks teeth!

This place is a gem, and Paul is an amazing host with true passion for sharing. This amazing area is well up kept and consistently looked after. It's refreshing to be able to have such a peaceful experience on peace river :) Paul helped us get situated promptly and answered the many questions I had about the park and surrounding areas. I couldn't have landed a better place to camp with my family. Thank you for contributing to such a Priceless time. !!!

We camped in tents on 3/2018 and we paid 20 dollars per night per site. The gentleman that used to run the place was amazing. And very easy going. He is not longer there but his wife is nice too. We enjoyed the river and found shark teeth and other fossils. We took a canoe trip and it was fantastic. The park has lots of shade.
