The majority of the yellow trail has little to no shade depending on the time of day. And the farther back you go on the red trail the denser the trees become. It's incredibly beautiful with all kinds of flora and fauna

Very nice ...foraging and found some blackberry... did not make it to the river.

A nice easy trail to the river and looping back through the woods and prairie. Close to a 3 mile round trip depending on the loops you choose, a bit over 1.5 miles to the river bank where you get a nice peaceful view of the Econ. Definitely recommended if you're in the area.

Walking, biking, and horse trails. A few picnic tables. SO many wildflowers, blackberry bushes, gopher tortoises, and birds. River access also available. Pets on leash welcome. Excellent half day hiking.

Yes, it's right by the entrance where you park I believe
Yes! There was a recent bear sighting reported very close by, and I previously believed I saw one while jogging late at night down McCulloch.
Yes! Bring water and/or a bowl for your pet though. Make sure they are leashed as you never know who is out there with other dogs or a horse etc...
2 trails, longer one is 2.2 miles. Guessing at the shorter one at maybe .5 mile. It is on the sign when you pull in with it mapped out. 👍
They are definitely wide enough but they are not paved. I think a jogging stroller would probably work ok but it may depend on the wheels. The paths are flat incline wise but somewhat bumpy as they are dirt
I have never been murked and am a young woman who often goes there on my own.
It was about 300 yards north of snowhill road bridge, just follow the path along the river
Hi William, there is a small lake/pond at the front of the area not far from the parking lot or you can go on short a hike towards the back where you find the Econ River and try your luck there. Happy fishing!
