Makes their appointments too close together can't accommodate for a 10 minute late. Banfield has enough issues this is something they can control. All of Banfield gets one star.

Always have a great experience when visiting with my animals. The staff is nice, friendly, and super sweet to everyone. I love the wellness plans and how they've really helped me to be able my fur babies get everything they need. Definitely recommend!

We took our pet there for some stomach issues and they are his regular vet. They had to send out bloodwork to be tested further for possible liver and thyroid issues. We didnt hear anything for 2 weeks. Called to follow up and they said they had to contact the lab. They call 2 days later and stated that the bloodwork never made it to the lab and they dont know where it is so they wanted the pet to come back in for more bloodwork to be done. Also was told the reason we had to follow up originally because we had not been contacted was because they dont get notified by the lab until the results are in. Fair enough but after 2 weeks of no answers you would think a professional vet would follow up for their patient to get the results. 👎🏻👎🏻

Been taking our cat here for years and every time we are treated friendly and professionally. Our most recent trip was an emergency! Our cat got out and into a fight. When we called we were squeezed in and seen immediately. They took great care of him and since we have the wellness plan, we only had to pay for the medicine. NO BIG VET BILL!! I will also recommend Banfield to pet owners and I plan on continuing my business with them.

I'm sorry for your bad experience. I've only had positive interactions with the vets and staff at Banfield Hospital in Abingdon, MD (inside PetSmart). I would suggest contacting US Consumer Protection Agency if you have not done so already.
No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
