Our mother has been at Tuscany for over two years and the experience has been more than we'd wished for her. Everyone there is very caring and take such good care of her, we never have to worry about anything. They are so good about making sure she is included in their many activities, which keeps her entertained and engaged. We are so lucky to have found such a wonderful home for Mom!

Can’t say enough about how wonderful Tuscany Villa has been for my parents. So many social activities, amazing nurses and staff and management team that go above and beyond. They get to know the residents and their families. We know our parents are well cared for, happy and in the best possible place.

My wife and I are thrilled with the staff of Tuscany Villa, so attentive to the needs of our loved ones. When we moved my dad in we were nervous, as you may understand but they certainly prove us wrong. Everyone person that we have spoken with from day one has been so cordial, helpful and go above and beyond. It is really all about the the people who live there'd obviously work there too. Keep up the great work. Dad is very happy to call Tuscany his home. Thanks again to the director and all the staff appreciate it. We rest comfortably knowing he is safe and well cared for by people we just started to get to know amazing!

My brother and I went to many places when we were looking for a place for our mom. We needed to be certain that the place was clean friendly home-like, good food and good service. Well, we found a place unlike any other place Tuscany Villa is an awesome place to live. Vincent and his staff make sure our mom and others are well cared for and treat them like they're all related. It's so heartwarming to know that our mom is well cared for. Richard does his very best to respond to our requests and mom's. The food is very good. Mom and the staff helped her decorate her apartment. Mom always enjoys all the various activities, especially when she had to stay in the apartment they were doing live streaming on their in house TV-which we forgot but mom reminded me lol. Everyone is so friendly and works hard. Actually, I'm sure like everyone,we were a little nervous before the pandemic however each and everytime we were reassured that Mom was well taken care of and very safe and secure. On behalf of my self and my brother THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR EVERYTHING VINCENT AND ALL YOUR STAFF everyday! We are proud and confident we made the decision and had our Mom move and call Tuscany Villa her home. The best choice and the right one too!!

When I visit assisted living communities with my daughter, I find it all a little intimidating. Moving from a small house to a big community is frightening. I just don’t know if I can learn my way around a new place.

My father needs more help than we can provide for him to be safe at home. I think he realizes it but is reluctant to leave the friends he’s made in his neighborhood. Dad has lived there for about 25 years. What can we do to reassure him he can stay connec

Good question! Embarking on a new chapter in life doesn’t mean old friends have to be left behind. Assisted living communities offer a wide range of programs and events residents can invite guests to participate in. And they also offer transportation services so your dad can attend events in and around town with his old buddies. Fortunately, there are other ways your father can stay in touch. Social media channels like Facebook or a video chat service such as Skype are two easy avenues for staying connected.

My mom agreed that it was time for her to move to an assisted living community this winter. She knows she just isn’t safe living alone any longer. We found a community Mom seemed to love. Now we can’t seem to get her motivated to actually make the move. I

This sometimes happen when it actually comes time to make the move. Your mom is probably anxious and a little uncertain. A late life transition like this isn’t easy to make. What might help is to get her involved in some of the events and activities at the new community now, instead of waiting until she actually moves in. Talk with the staff to see about helping her find a buddy with similar interests and hobbies that she can bond with during her visits. Becoming more familiar with the community and with a few fellow residents can help make the move feel a little less intimidating.

My children live out of town and have busy lives. I know I need to move to a senior living community but I don’t want to burden my children with downsizing my house. What can I do? It’s overwhelming to think about doing it all on my own.

We hear this concern from seniors often. Sorting through and packing up a lifetime of memories and belongings can be overwhelming. One resource we like to share with families is a group of professionals called Senior Move Managers. They are experts at handling all of the details of a later life move. You can find one near your home by visiting the National Association of Senior Move Managers or Certified Relocation & Transition Specialist.
