was the only er style vet open in the area so i had to go here. INSANELY expensive just for them to look at my cat and tell me he’s sick. their information was useless and a waste of my money. my cat was still sick 24 hours after so i took him to a vet in Alexandria. they said he had worms and they were EXTREMELY confused as to how artemis couldn’t identify that by just looking at him. i would not recommend this place as an er vet. never going back here. thank you.

Do not bring your pet here. They won't watch them if you have to work during the day if you bring them in the morning for a drop off. The assistant who comes out to get the pets is rude and has no concern for pet health. Rude and terrible customer service here. This place will be out of business soon.

I can't say enough about how sweet, and caring the team at Artemis is. We unfortunately lost our family dog a few weeks ago, and contacted Artemis for the first time to see if they offered cremation services. Not only did they assist, but they greeted us at the entrance, gave us the opportunity to say one last goodbye, and then were so sweet to send our family a sympathy card. Then, when the cremation process was complete, they not only provided the ashes in a nice, sealed cedar box w/ a plague of our dog's name, but included a framed pawprint in plaster. So sweet, and heartwarming.

My cat was diagnosed with diabetes in early 2019. I kept her alive since then but recently times have been tough for everyone. I got laid off and affording the over priced diabetic supplies became too much. Pet insurance wasn’t an option because my cat was old and getting a pet loan would mean I would have to pay more in the future. I begged for insulin from this veterinary clinic and they turned me away because of an unnecessary blood test that you have to get in order to get a prescription for insulin. I test my cats blood glucose levels with expensive test strips multiple times a week and this blood test is nothing but a cash grab that costs $100. My cat slowly withered away and passed away because I could no longer afford insulin nor this unnecessary blood test that this veterinary clinic required. Clinics like this should be ashamed because for them, and other clinics, money comes first otherwise you die. I had no one to ask for money and now I have no cat. I am honestly ashamed to live in this world And I have the emails from this clinic to prove the store it was not made up and they denied my cat healthcare because I couldn’t afford it.

Yes, but you must call to make sure they are working that day.
$$$ Expensive- but it's an urgent care/ER for pets. If possible, always get a second opinion before you agree to surgery for your pet- could cost thousands of dollars.
We are unable to diagnose or give medical advice via the internet. Please either call or visit a veterinarian.
