I've been going to Alaska tire and he whoever for 5 years. I purchased several sets of tires and had repairs done on others. They've always been prompt, and seem to do what's best for the customer and not the bottom line... Not replacing 4 tires when you only need 2. I've moved about 40 miles away, but they are still my first choice!

As usual, the service at Alaska Tire Service is outstanding! From the courteous and efficient staff on the front counter to the professional staff doing the changeover of tires, they are unbeatable! Thank you all for a continued job well done! DS

Took a while to get an appointment but it was tire season, haha. I got to the appointment on time. My tires were swapped over in about 28minutes. Great service, good waiting area for kids, they have a TV in the waiting room too. Everyone was professional, welcoming and polite. In the last year or two the price has jumped from less than $80, to this spring (2022) being $92. That is for tires not on rims getting them swapped over and balanced. Overall, great service. The service maybe a little bit on the high side monetarily but I’d rather pay a little bit more, have great service and drive away knowing I won’t have problems with my tires!

It is Hard to get in to a good tire service during change over season, I tried calling at 08:00 for a week. After speaking with a polite customer service person she informed me that the easiest way to get a next day appointment was to come in at 08:00 and set it up in person. That worked just fine and I was able to drop my truck off the get the tires changed. I’ve used their services numerous times and each time it has been as pleasant as expected. They do what they say they will do and they treat each customer with respect and dignity. Thank you ATS. Keep it up.

Questions & Answers

Do you stud new tires that are pinned for studs? If so, do I need an appointment and how long would it take?

Hi Glori! We are busy getting ready for winter and studding tires constantly. You can drop off loose tires to be studded or make an appointment to come in with the vehicle if they are the tires you are currently using. If the tires are brand new and have not been driven on we can use the original pins. Cost including stud tax is $25 per tire and it takes about 30 minutes for a set of 4. If the tires have been driven on debris (ex: dirt, small rocks, etc.) is likely to be in the original pins so we would drill new holes prior to studding the tires. Including tax, it is $35 per loose tire and $45 per tire for tires on the vehicle. This process takes about an hour for a set of 4. We do recommend calling for an appointment prior to coming in with your vehicle. Have a great day! Alaska Tire Service
