When I went in for the first time, the only issue was that the hours are not posted on the outside. A couple of guys were over talkative to the clerks which made it a long wait but the General Delivery service was perfect.

I have been hung up on, “put on hold” for over an hour. These employees always seem miserable, and they’re rude when they do ever answer the phone. The post guy said my package was “undeliverable”, even though the rest of our mail was there and he never came to my door? He then claimed he “thought we moved” then why would you deliver the rest of my mail with that name, but NOT that one package? That was January 25 he “sent it back to anchorage” for some reason. I reached out to the company who sent me that package, they were kind enough to send another seeming I’ll probably never get that one. I called last Wednesday to assure it would be getting delivered. They said within 3 business days. It has been 4 days today and I tried to call and was HUNG UP ON TWICE. This package is super important. I’m losing so much patience with this post office.

My neighborhood Post Office is great! I thought, with all of the controversy, I’d chime in with appreciation for the folks who work hard to make sure we all get our packages and mail day in and out, especially during this crisis. In Alaska this is even more important as there are many folks off the road system and in areas that don’t have access to mailboxes. Many Alaskans rely on the USPS for their food and basic staples. Thanks USPS for your service and dedication!
