Nice apartments .. i will definitely recommend townhouse rather then the other apartments coz there is some sort of smell at the common lobby .. or stairs whatever it is...

My roommate and I loved living here. Right before we moved in they put in new carpets, appliances, and refinished the bathroom. The maintenance staff are really diligent about keeping the gardens and walkways nice. Every time we called them to fix something they showed up within a half hour and were always very helpful. Amaris is the property manager and is very friendly and accommodating. If you call and she picks up you know that she will get things right. My only suggestion is that they improve the common areas in the building, they could use some new paint and carpets. Overall, we had a great time here and only left because we had to because of work. Absolutely would recommend living here if you can (especially as an RPI student)!

I've lived at Park Ridge for 2 years and overall it's been a great experience. The management and maintenance staff have been professional, helpful and caring. Although there have been small rent increases with each annual lease renewal, the rent is still low and reasonably priced. My apartment is spacious, newly renovated and in a quiet non-smoking building. There have been no major pest control issues, but beware of spiders that despite frequent repellent sprays still manage to find their way in. This is a great place to live for working professionals as it is affordable and located close to everything you may need.

I have been living here with my family for last 2 years and 4 months. I have both good and bad experience here. Pros: It's a nice apartment with spacious rooms and good outdoors. Specially during summer, it looks really nice outside. There is a gulf course at the end of apartment which is really nice for morning walk and all. Maintenance request is mostly fulfilled on time. There are barbecue stations outside which is good. Or you have space to use your own. Parking is really convenient here. Cons: 1) These apartments never warm up. We need to put the temperature at 75 to make bedroom warm. We generally keep it at 70 but the bedrooms are very cold. You can expect electricity bills of 150+ during winters. 2) We got some roaches during last summer. We asked the maintenance. They did not do much for few times. Roaches number kept increasing, we kept asking. Then they started doing something. After almost 6 months we got a call from management and asked to pay $240. Which we are never told before that we will be billed for. I was really not happy with that. 3) All buildings do not have laundry. If you are in the building with laundry, you might have good experience but it is super inconvenient to go to other buildings for laundry specially in winters. 4) I do not know about other buildings but in my building you can hear very loud sound of shower and flush in the building. The sound is loud enough to wake you up at night even if somebody flushes in the room upstairs. 5) Now we are moving out of state. We have the lease till Dec 31st. We let the management know on Oct last that we will be moving out by Dec 17th and want to pay only for the days we are in apartment. They denied and said we need to pay for full month. This is ridiculous as we did let them know 2 months in advance. 6) One maintenance issue we had was we were having problem with dishwasher which we do not even use. For some reason water used to accumulate inside and smell really bad. We asked the management. They took very long to fix that and it was a terrible experience. We kept telling them that we are not using it, they can just remove it or block the water connection. They did not do that for some time. Eventually they did disconnect it and its been okay. 7) Another maintenance issue was our gas range was bad. We asked the maintenance and somebody came and said they need to replace the range. But management lady tried really hard to convince us that there is not any problem. That's ridiculous why would we complain if there is no problem. After complaining again and again they replaced the range with new one. No offence to maintenance people, they are great they even returned our stuffs that we forgot inside the oven.
