I couldn't recommend Shell Key Shuttle enough!!! Very reasonable pricing, very friendly, knowledgeable staff and they also offer a military discount!! Included with admission, they'll loan you umbrellas and snorkeling gear! The Shell bags are yours to keep! Make sure you park on the water side of the street and purchase their $5 parking pass (a lot cheaper than the meter). The line to purchase tickets is outside at the little booth and not inside the store. Love that there is different options of return times!! Tons of shelling and seeing different types of wildlife!!! The island is remote and a nature preserve. There's no bathrooms or anything else. Be prepared with a cooler and any other beach amenities you may need. Shell Key was the kids favorite!! Definitely recommend and will definitely be back!!

Fun trip to a small preserve island off of pass a grill. I enjoyed the ride and the staff was very nice. They offered umbrellas, mask, snorkel to borrow on trip. They also gave us shell collecting bags and an informative sheet at the end of the different types of birds and shells we saw. Would highly recommend for a couple hours or day trip if you bring a portable bathroom. You can also buy a parking pass for much cheaper than the meter.

Quick trip over to shell key. Bring a small cooler. They provide umbrellas and snorkeling stuff. Don't be an a hole and take your trash back with you! This is a nature preserve! We saw lots of wildlife and the waves are so much calmer. It was simply gorgeous. And go potty before you go. No restrooms on the island 😎

What a cool thing great price. Friendly. The island is really cool. So many shells all over. Easy to find cool ones. Bring a sack lunch abd let the kids play. I saw a sting ray too! Really cool afternoon mini adventure. Our group was jist 4 adult ladies, but I want to come back and bring my kiddo! Glad we randomly found this.

$26.75 for adults, 1/2 price for kids 12 and under, babies 2 and under go for free. Includes use of a beach umbrella (one per group), mask and snorkel and shell bags.
They're awesome! When we were there a month ago, they had umbrellas, snorkeling gear and netted bags to collect the shells (not sure if they still do). We just brought water (a lot of it!!), chairs and towels. It's a great experience! Have fun!
Go EARLY! I would call the shuttle a day ahead and ask for their advice. When I was there a local church was offering parking for a donation which might better accommodate a large vehicle. But it fills up quickly.
In these days and virus situation..have no idea what is and is not open/ available...sorry.
No facilities st all and no shade to be found. Boat goes every 2 hours from 10 so be prepared.
Yes we are open daily, weather permitting. It is best to call us the day you want to go for a weather check at (727)360-1348. Thank you
No you don't. But you'll want to call ahead to make sure the shuttle is running that day. They bring people out and back several times throughout the day.
Weather permitting we depart at 10, noon and 2. We pick up at 12:15, 2:15 and 4:15. Please call us the day you want to go for a weather check.
You can stay all the way until the last shuttle, that time does vary so be sure to ask and be clear. No restroom and yes bring plenty to drink and sun screen. It does make for a nice day.
I do not believe so, only service animals
Yes Ashley! Our sunset cruises are dog friendly as long as your dog is people friendly. Just call us to make a reservation.
Yes we are. The red tide has moved offshore. Please call to let us know if you are coming. (727)360-1348
