Loved our experience so much I forgot to pull out my phone to snap more pics! Totally worth visiting. Grabbed annual passes on our way out. We stayed up until closing. Definitely attention grabbing. Many hands on activities for our little explorers who like to touch everything! Clean and friendly staff :) they were all so helpful. We also tried the VR experience which was really fun. We couldn’t do the Sky Line activity because we didn’t have the right footwear (so make sure you wear closed toe shoes!) Wish we visited sooner! Highly recommend this attraction.

Super fun for the kids and lots to learn. Brought my 3 year old here and he had a blast. Can't beat the fun for the low price of admission. There is fun activities for kids of all ages. Shoot, even the adults have fun here! Definitely recommend if you are looking for something to do with the kids on the weekend.

Haven't been for over a decade. With the girlfriend in town, I wanted to take her to a fun museum since she loves them. We decided on MOSI. Unfortunately, as a lot of other reviews have noted, the place is a shadow of its former self, as the larger three story building is seemingly empty and devoid of all the amazing exhibits it used to have. Having said that, MOSI does a decent job at utilizing the little space they have. There's plenty of exhibits, but due to the smaller size, it's not quite a day trip anymore. Even taking our time and trying all the exhibits we were done in two hours. You can probably squeeze three hours out of a very inquisitive kid or two, but there's not much here for adults. I'm saddened by the loss of the MOSI of my childhood, but hopeful that if they move to a Tampa location closer to downtown in the future, that it'll be bigger and more enjoyable. For now, it's not more than two or three hours and never again. As a side note, the planetarium show was amazing, and our narrator Max was incredible. Totally worth the $5 per person, check it out.

MOSI, short for Museum of Science and Industry did not disappoint. My family and I enjoyed the visit and participated in most of the sections of the museum. It is small but armed with various interesting areas. I would recommend the Mars area, the Planetarium, the outside area. It can be a short visit worth your money and time.

ADULTS (13 - 59) $12.95 SENIORS (60+) $10.95 CHILD (3 - 12) $7.95
I would suggest the ages from 2 to 10 would be the most entertaining some of the attractions that are cost money on top of the admission so be prepared for that if you would like to do that also directions to the outside of the place that cost extra money also
Not the movie theater but the planetarium is there and the show was about 45-55 mins for an extra 5 bucks it was awesome!
7.00 for non members 5.00 for members. Like us we just went for the day so it was 7.00 each person.
Yes
Seniors (60+) $ 10.95 Adults (13-59) $ 12.95 Children (3-12) $ 7.95 Children under 3 years old are free. All the necessary information can be found on the museum's website: www.mosi.org
I don't know. You would have to call to find out. It's not on the web site.
ADULTS (13 - 59) $12.95 SENIORS (60+) $10.95 CHILD (3 - 12) $7.95
Ropes course are VR are open, not the stem lab though
It's very very cheep admission to begin with so a few dollars more for certain activities is well worth it. Me and my family just went and were blown away how awesome it was!
When we went on a Sat afternoon, there were hardly any people in there, so it's a good time to go & be able to explore all they have. Their planetarium is pretty cool, but boring to the little ones with short attention spans, plus it's $5 extra
No concessions all they have is a soft drink machine upon entering. ADULTS (13 - 59) | SENIORS (60+) | CHILD (3 - 12) $12.95 | $10.95 | $7.95. You can literally walk the entire "exhibit" in 30 min. There was an eerie feeling about it. I have a 15 yr old STEM child, 10 yr old ASD and a 7 yr old who loves everything space related. I didn't see them thrilled, there wasn't much for them. I'd pass.
The last time I went a couple weeks ago they said something about moving within 3 years
You should call the directly for the most up to date information.
Search www.MOSI.org
You can move wherever you would like. I hear New York is nice. Try there.
No get the discount when you buy the city pass
Also I know the Bank of America has a program that gives you access to a whole bunch of museums
Yes. Very nice facility and has a climbing feature of some sort. Kids (and parents) had a blast there.
Drove by today and recyclosaurus is still standing by the road. Looks like it did in 1999 when I first saw it.
It is $12.95 for adults and $7.95 for children and $10.95 for senior citizens, children under 2 are free. That's just for general admission, any other event or add on is extra, their prices for extra activities other than exploring the museum are pretty reasonable.
The other side where imax was is now owed by the city
You could always ask them by calling them.
/ They start in 7.95 of 3-12 years, adults and seniors have another price, check the page there are the prices
Adults 13-59 are 12.95 child 3-12 are 7.95
Yes. Restrooms are just at the entrar previous to pay
Check web site
Ok when we went it was during eclipse, so there were meant booths all over, might want to call?
It's fun for the kids and for the adults. They downsized completly..the movie dome isisnt there anymore but the price to get in is cheaper. All in all id say its worth it and a good time for the family
The butterfly garden is now closed
Imax is not operational anymore
I would not recommend going without children. It's not geared towards adults.
Adults $12.95 Seniors $10.95 Kids age 3-12 $7.95
Not sure but for two adults, plus the ten extra for the planetarium, it came to $37 total
If you are active duty military there are days throughout the year where service members can get in for free. You will just need to call to enquire.
It may be closing early in August for the period of changeover to new ownership.
Nope. I thought it did. But all those pictures online are false advertising
u
If you have a military I d card you can get in for free from memorial day to vertrens day I think
Place was a waste of money & time don't bother. Very small & they are in the middle of expanding but won't tell you and won't discount because of disappointment that Web site shows muck better.
My 3 year old nephew was entertained for the time we were there but mostly on the playground. We could've taken him to a playground for free. Its best for bigger kids that have a longer attention span.
No. Right now the museum has cut back to only a fraction of its original building. The omnitheater is not operating.
Has been closed since last year.
It is open from 10a to 5p.
There are exhibits that have inspired me as an adult. For example, I got my HAM Radio License after MOSI's exhibit. They recently added exhibits about smart cities and smart agri, etc.. pretty cool.. at least I thought they were...
They are in the process of relocating to down town tampa, at this time about 85% of MOSI is shut down. With about an equal staff cut.
Highly recommend 2 hours to explore the museum
$13 adults and $8 kids. It's on their website.
There is an option that is citypass, so it's cheaper and it's access to 5 different sites.
I max closed down Mosi is moving downtown USF taking over buildings
They are currently shutting a lot of things down for the move, check website
It is permanently closed
MOSI won't be showing any movies anymore. The theater is permanently closed.
The MOSI IMAX is permanently closed. It will not come back when MOSI reopens November 18.
Due to budget cuts, The entire Museum has been consolidated into the Kids in Charge building
