I visited the Manatee County Cooperative Extension Service the other day seeking helpful advice on a variety of residential landscape-related issues and concerns. I'm not certain what I expected to find (once I finally found the office), but suffice it to say that I was overwhelmed by the eager and enthusiastic welcome and the expert advice and assistance I received. Amy was particularly helpful -- and what a wonderful ambassador she is for the Extension Service. I returned home with renewed intent to ensure our 650 home community (headed to 1300) and its homeowners were made more aware of the Extension Service and their amazing array of resources -- all of which are free for the asking. Thanks for being there and for being such a valuable resource to our "growing" community. And special thanks to Amy for going the extra mile to ensure I got what I came for.

Most likely the "oleander caterpillar". We would have to see a picture to be certain. Lines in the leaves are probably leaf miners.
This is one of those questions that before answers can be made will require more information. Please call the extension service tomorrow Jan. 3 Ask to speak with a Master Gardener and they will be able to answer your question and concerns..
