I have enjoyed shopping at Second Chance for several years BUT today I had a horrible shopping experience. I purchased or thought I purchased a pair of bifold trellis’. However, after paying and going to the bay to pick them up The staff had a lot of conversation among themselves trying to figure out what a pair was. They finally decided that each bifold trellis was a pair and that I had only paid for one. The bad part was that they treated me like I was trying to get away with something and explained that the salesperson was new and didn’t understand what a pair was. Then they proceeded to explain to me what a pair is. Well I guess us customers now have to determine if their sales people are experienced enough to write up the sales tickets correctly. BTW that salesperson said he interpreted the ticket that said pair of trellises to be the two on the sales floor! Needless to say I am saddened by how the staff acted about this and that they spent about a half hour trying to figure this out among themselves! I’m attaching a picture of the trellises for reference. I need long break from going back to this place again!!!!!

Second chance is someplace everyone with a home in Baltimore needs to visit from time to time. Treasures are waiting to be found. I won't say that the treasure is easy to find as it may be mixed in with a lot of "stuff". Yet if you take the time to explore and remain open to the possibilities, you just may find exactly what you never knew you needed. As for me, in perfect solutions for problems in my garden and great ideas for the next home improvement project. I pray you'll have a similar experience soon!

This is a great place to get used household items. However, please inspect potential purchases carefully to determine their manufacturer and research their actual costs because sometimes 2nd chance has priced the item close to what it would cost new. Also, check all lighting fixtures to ensure that they have their brackets, or else you will have to buy those things separately, which is not always easy with antique items. The really nice high-end furniture goes quickly, so be prepared to pay on the spot.

Love the mission of this place and enjoy browsing. Got a great set of hardwood TV tables.

Yes, the best bet is to go to our website and click the Donate material tab to send an email which will expedite the process.
There is a gentleman who works there and does delivery. Don't have his card with me but I'm sure the very helpful staff will steer you to him
Absolutely! We pride ourselves on being pet friendly :-)
Almost always, near the headboards. Best bet is to call 410.385.1700 x 123 to double check if you're making a special trip.
They just supply the materials.
Absolutely! We have several kinds and qualities and quantities, you won't be disappointed... Not overstating that :-) come check out the inventory for flooring!
I'm sorry but our siding selection is limited right now.
We do have some and get some occasionally as well.
Yes, they frequently have kitchen cabinets. Islands are hit or miss. It largely depends upon the style and size you are looking for.
Yes, there are plenty of different types of kitchen cabinets available.
We do!
We do some pickups. You can request one here: https://www.secondchanceinc.org/ways-to-give/donate-items/
We almost always do. If you need to know if there are any there before you come, please call the store and ask because inventory changes over daily. 410-385-1700 Thank you!
I believe it is, but to be safe you should call the store before you come in to buy it Thursday through Sunday. 410-385-1700
Probably not. But Scrap Bmore will.
Yes, toilets in good condition can be dropped off Thurs-Sun, 9 to 5!

Yes, we carry various sized floor tiles. Our inventory changes over weekly, so it's usually best to come take a look at what we have on any given day.
Yes we do!
Those are all items that we tend to carry. However, our inventory changes over daily so your best bet is to call the store to ask specifically before you come in if you are planning a special trip just for that. 4103851700
Yes they have them..they are by the headboards
This may help... www.bathtubandtile.com
Unfortunately they do not. They receive alot of items so space is limited.
We may be able to, as we do except pool tables. Please give us a call and ask for a donation coordinator.
The primary way we help families is by offering job training opportunities. If you're interested, please visit our website and check it out. We are not equipped to handle that particular issue, although there are other organizations who are. If you are working with one of those organizations, sometimes we are able to provide low or no-cost Home Furnishings. Otherwise, it's outside of our particular emphasis. Best to you
Anything you see piled up in the parking lot by the chemical company is free
Sure do! Various brands, conditions and prices....
Due to quick product turnover, your best bet is to call the store to get current pricing - 410.385.1700 x 123

They have many things like that, but you would have to go to check them out. Thier inventory is always changing
You never know what they have on any given day. It's best to call or just go visit, you may find something that you can use in lieu of shingles. That's how amazing Second Chance is! New items come in Daily!
I'm sorry but we do not currently do any sort of repairs.
Several tons of always changing inventory.
You should definitely just take those measurements and go see what they have. The availability of items that could possibly be cut down or exact size are endless.
Just go there and ask. A great icebreaker. Put your yourself front n center.
I'm not sure try calling or asking associate
I saw some rhere but they take donated items you get a tax receipt
Do you pick up?
I do not think Second Chance is able to do pickup.
Not all the time but we do sometimes. If you're making a special trip it's best to call the store first.
I can't tell you specifically if we do, but we literally have hundreds of doors. It's a pretty good shot if you want to come look!
The amazing thing about Second Chance is not only the turnaround of inventory but also the ideas that one can incorporate with something that they hadn't even expected to incorporate.
Yes, we have quite a bit of wood and lumber with some that should do the job nicely!
Come take a look... we have hundreds of Windows and Doors of all sorts of styles and many very economical!
Yup
Not that I am aware of. My understanding of their mission is to help people with employment and they do that through selling their reclaimed and donated property.
Lots and lots of doors There just bring measuring tape and go to town.
I agree some items are priced well like hvac and stoves and washers but stuff priced right ...like used Windows and doors are just not right you have probably Been in that store only to buy a refrigerator one time ... look at the broken bench at entrance for $1,100 .... just saying ......
We're sorry but we have a lot of brick and can't pick it up. If it is in good, reusable condition, it can be dropped off to us.
We have a wide variety of new and used pavers!
Yes we do. Different conditions from very used to brand new.
Yes I do and do yall come out in buying a whirlpool dryer if so I have one that I want to sell now for like $125
For retail pricing, we'll use our experience over 15 years and a lot of online comparisons. As far as giving a value of the donation for the donor, we are not allowed by law to do that. The donor is the one who determines what the value of the donation is and reports that on their taxes. Hope that helps
There is always a great selection. Short tall fat or thin you'll find then there! You may have to paint them....
