Short, but steep hike. Moderately difficult I'd say. The falls was beautiful in December. Exercise caution when you hike this during winters as there were few spots covered with slippery ice. No crowd when were there. Very relaxing.

Amazing! The falls at the bottom of the trail is so worth the "challenging" hike back up! The view from the overlooks on Skyline Drive are gorgeous no matter the time of year!

Refreshing short hike in Shenandoahnationalpark. It is a very popular falls trail and parking can be difficult to get but since turnaround is small one needs to be patient. You can go right upto gushing water and get pretty amazing …

Really depends on how good you are at free climbing... just be careful of all the wet rocks
No, dogs are not allowed. There's a sign that clearly says, No pets. That said, I did see a couple with a dog on a leash and they walked by a park ranger who was recording a video (don't know is the ranger saw the dog or not).
No it's a Federal Holiday..
You could get a little way down the trail with a stroller, but there are stretches of rocks and steps where a stroller wouldn't work. You'd need a strap-on carrier if you want to get all the way to the bottom.
You can get a back country camping permit by mail. Then you just have to check the website to see where camping is and is not allowed. Most of the trails allow it you just have to be a certain distance from the trail head and off the trail ect. The permits are free. You can also get them from the ranger stations if you don't have enough time to wait for the mail. It takes several weeks to get it that way. Enjoy!
You have to pay to get into Shenandoah National park. It's cheapest to get an annual pass if you go more than once a year.
