What a lovely store! It had been a long time since I had visited a JA store, despite owning dozens of pieces of James Avery jewelry. The staff offered a warm greeting, the store was clean and the displays were lovely. I left with a nice wish list for my hubby! 😂

I came in on Wednesday afternoon after work to pick up an item that had been dropped off days earlier to be engraved. Upon entering the store someone at the back hollered out “welcome in”.. I was not there to shop or browse but just to pick up the item. I approached the counter and there was a young person named Samantha who I have to say absolutely does not appropriately represent your brand. First, she was wearing a top that revealed her mid drift which was unappealing to me as a customer. Second, I told her I was there to pick up an item that had been engraved- and her immediate response to me was not friendly or welcoming but she just said “I need to see your ID“. Now let me remind you I am picking up probably a $25 item that was a gift, and I’m sure you have your procedures for verifying that no one is stealing someone else’s item but let’s not pretend that James Avery is the Pentagon. This young lady probably 20 years old talking to a grown adult 51 year-old woman telling me that she needs to see my ID… In such a manner that made me feel very offputting by her lack of customer service. I’m sure this is the small place in the world where she gets to assert some type of authority but it does not come off well and she needs to be coached on her approach, her dress codes, and probably just needs to work at chipotle. By the way not once did she ever say thank you…. Some brand ambassador you have there. Will not recommend. Will not shop again. This place has gone downhill..

Horrible customer service. No one greeted me when I came in being that there were no customers in at the time. As I’m making my way around the store someone yells from across the room asking if I was finding everything ok. I didn’t respond because while I know she was talking to me because I was the only person in there, that is not how to assist customers. Only reason why I stayed and purchased is because I needed the item for gift for tonight. Samantha was the name of the associate based on my receipt.

I came in as a novice to the charm world and Cristina was so nice and helpful! I was shopping for a birthday gift and she helped explain everything. 10/10 would recommend this store. I was in and out under an hour after coming in with no idea what I wanted. Thank you Cristina! ☺️
