Great Cold war and East Germany museum in the middle of Culver City! I know very strange uh? There are quite a few items from the era as well as a very large collection of books and video material, even though the latter seems to be accessible only upon appointment. Please do not miss the outside gardening which is really lovely and right now there is a wonderful photo exhibition by a Dutch artist. Plenty of parking in front of the museum. It's also free which makes it even better! Definitely a wonderful place to spend a cultural/historic afternoon.

We enjoyed our visit to this unique museum. They have a number of interesting objects from the Cold War era. My only complaint would be that I'm thinking that they have a lot more interesting objects that they could display if they used more of their special exhibit area for their permanent collection. Very nice outdoor area too,

This museum had a pretty rare exhibit of oil paintings from Soviet Union that you don't really see that often. They also have a few pieces on display from the cold war period. Museum is pretty small and didn't take a lot of time to go through.

I think this museum is really cool and unique for LA! It has a lot of art and artifacts from the DDR which is even more rare. I do wish that the museum has more context for the pieces and more information about them though. Also as an aside, the outdoor area is really cute
