Volunteered at the farm and got the opportunity to work with fellow people who are into gardening. I got the opportunity to pick out weeds from pepper plant beds which was a new experience for me. Would recommend volunteering here to contribute your part to the community and you get to take home free vegetables at the end of the work shift. Place is run by well dedicated people willing to help you at any stage of your learning process. They provide gloves and other equipment to work on the farm.

Every variety of plant that is native to this region. You can take classes and learn or just walk around and enjoy the scenery.

This place is amazing and unique. It offers voulunteering opportunities for people to work in the farm and know more about where their food comes from. It also provides produce from the farm to local non-profits and contributes back to the society. The vibe is very positive and the volunteers are very knowledgeable. Highly recommended for people in and around the area to be more involved with farm.

You cannot pick the fruit or vegetables without permission from the co-op.
There are about eight blueberry bushes on site, and the public is welcome to pick them! This is not a traditional "u-pick" setup, in that you do not need to coordinate your visit or your harvest with any of the site stewards: show yourself around, take what you need, and enjoy nature.
John, hot meals are provided once monthly - usually the first Sunday from 10AM - 1PM. A group called Feed the People Collective has been utilizing the Alemany Farm outdoor kitchen since early in the pandemic (Spring 2020) to harvest, prepare, and serve delicious, free, hot meals to anyone that comes by. See you there!
Jeslin, the farm produces organic fruits and vegetables, medicinal herbs, dye plants, and is home to all manner of native plants, wildlife, and several bee colonies! It is also a green oasis and refuge offered to SF residents and visitors from out of town. The farm also produces a culture of land literacy and earth stewardship among San Franciscans; through educational offerings, Alemany Farm grows the next generation of urban farmers, gardeners, and food justice movement leaders.
