I've been here many times over the years. The kids always enjoy themselves. Its a Great place to cool down on a hot day. But be prepared for big crowds during the summer. The beach really gets packed in like sardines in a can. I don't think I have ever been to this beach without meeting several new people, just because everyone is sharing the area. So don't expect any privacy. I personally prefer to go at the end of the day 5-6pm when everyone is leaving, just in time to catch the last rays of sun and watch the sunset over the city. There are quite a bit more transient camps littered around than there used to be and the park staff work hard to try to keep the area nice for beach goers, more trash cans have been added this year, but there is almost always a bit of scattered trash on the trail/parking area and parts of the beach and an odd character or two from time to time comes wandering through, so I would recomend traveling here in groups for safety. Free use of life jackets is on offer to the public.

It's so peaceful here I love watching the waves, seals playing and soaking up some sun The best thing yet it's only 10 minutes away from home👍

$5 if you want to park. You could park on Bercutt and walk if you don't want to pay.
