Overall it's a very nice park, but I was surprised to see loose branches here and there and even a couple of dead trees just barely hanging upward. I know the area had experienced a pretty bad storm a while back, but still, I thought that those branches should have been picked up and disposed of and as far as the dead trees go, chopped down and disposed of. It just made it appear less clean in my opinion, and that is a big deal these days, cleanliness. But it's still a very nice park that has lake access for boats and fishing, a playground for kids, and I believe a beach volleyball court.

Nice playground, swings, benches, fenced in dog park, pavilions, plenty of clear green rolling hill areas to roam, play, have picnics, and enjoy nature.

Always have a great time with the kids here. Plenty of space grass sky water and fun.

Nice little park. A few pavilions to sit at. Playground is a bit unkempt, maybe due to covid, but it was grassy. Nice water area with a little dock.

Permits are required for fishing and boating and can be obtained from the Town of Culpeper. Permit fees are $25 for boating and $10 for fishing and are good for the calendar year of purchase.
Dawn till dusk the side that we were on has a boat ramp and a pier right next to the boat ramp on the pier there should be a sign that says what time it closes which is from Dawn till dusk

Yes. I'm not sure how much but you can call or go to the Town Office in Culpeper to reserve a pavilion and check on the price. I hope this helps.
They are doing dam improvements.
At town hall on Main St. in Culpeper. When you walk in the door it's the first office on the right.
No you don't need to ,but if someone else has a reservation then you will have to move. People usually only reserve them on the weekends so you should be fine.
